MONLEEK DIAMOND produced a shock result in the THE SITTINGBOURNE MAIDEN Open Race (DIV 1)  at Central Park last night! Sent off the 12/1 outsider and without a win since 30th March 2014 she stayed on well for her first Open Race success! The May 2011 daughter of Crash was a talented youngster winning 5 of her first 9 races at Hove but she has since had her problems. Owned by Steve Barton and Michelle Chambers, who will be delighted with this win, Monleek Diamond had to contend with bumping on the run-up but she led on the run-in clocking 30.11 (-20) 29.91 calculated to beat the Daniel Brabon trained Will Escalade by a length and a half. This was her 11th career win as she has 6 Hove and 3 Dundalk wins plus a Shelbourne Park victory on her card!

GLENPADDEN BOLT just loves Sittingbourne! The May 2011 son of Droopys Scolari has made 10 appearances at the Kent track winning 4 times and finishing runner-up on 3 occassions! He qualified for the Final of the SITTINGBOURNE SUPER STANDARD Open Race over 500 metres as the fastest Heat winner when taking Division 2 of the competition in some style! The 6/4 favourite owned by Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory won by five and a half lengths clocking a fast 30.20 (-20) 30.00 calculated when beating the Anthony Collett trained Satellite Exile. Sittingbourne track record holder over 450 metres Glenpadden Bolt will be the one to beat in next Sundays Final! 3rd placed Laughil Max trained by Anthony Collett was the other runner to qualify from this Heat.

The chance for Ballymac Chindit was gone by the second bend in the SITTINGBOURNE MINI STANDARD Open Race over 450 Metres as he suffered trouble in a rough race! Bumped on the run-up and at the second bend he was also badly bumped at the first! The Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory owned ‘blue’ finished in 5th place clocking 28.40 (-20) 28.20 calculated when beaten six lengths by John Mullins Yarmouth trained winner Toosey Teddy.
