DRAGON OVERLORD was a STAR SPORTS GREYHOUND DERBY 1st Round casualty when finishing in 5th place behind the Angela Harrison trained Droopys Buick. The July 14 son of Tullymurry Act owned by the Executors of the late Joe Yelding then picked up a slight ‘niggle’ when 4th to the Paul Foster trained Tommys Approach in a Swindon Open on the 14th June. He returned to action last night in the CENTRAL PARK STANDARD
(Div 1) Open Race over 480 metres where he was sent off a 16/1 shot! Although suffering a bump at the 3rd bend he ran on well to finish in 2nd place clocking 29.34 (-20) 29.14 calc when beaten three lengths by the Barry O’Sullivan trained winner Angry Man.

ANOTHER ME had not run since clocking 30.32 calculated when 4th beaten just 3/4 of a length by Brickfield Sooty in an A3 at Hove on the 28th June. Returning for the CENTRAL PARK STANDARD (Div 2) Open Race over 480 metres the February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee owned by Miss C. J. Vogt and Mr P. J. Vogt was made an 8/1 chance. Despite gaining a clear run ‘Monty’ finished in 4th place clocking 29.49 (-30) 29.19 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by Azza Boy who is trained by Frank Gray.
