Longrange Denis must also have excellent claims from the inside draw when Norah McEllistrim’s dog goes in heat five at 8.50. He meets fellow Champion Stakes finalist Soviet Kenny and may have a race fitness advantage over that rival . A reasonable break, allowing him to hold a good pitch on the rails, may well be sufficient.  BY JONATHAN KAY of the RACING POST
