“FAIRHILL FRANKIE” WINS ON HIS RETURN!
FAIRHILL FRANKIE made a winning return to the track, after being out for a month (ex Cough), with a comfortable win in the D1 at 7-31. The April 2012 son of Droopys Scolari showed good early pace and led all the way beating the Ken Tester trained runner-up Dubai Fantasy by almost two lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim ‘Frankie’ clocked 16.83 (-20) 16.63 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove. Two wins at Drumbo Park on his Irish card give him a career total of 5 wins! Twice a winner at Swindon kennel mate Ballymac Tonya was making her Hove debut. She suffered crowding at the first bend but will improve for the experience after finishing in 4th place. ‘Tonya’ clocked 17.09 (-20) 16.89 calculated three lengths behind the winner.
“SPEAK OUT LILLY” TAKES ADVANTAGE OF A DROP IN GRADE!
SPEAK OUT LILLY made full use of the drop in grade when taking the A9 at 7-46. Beaten just a neck the previous week she was sent off the 6/4 favourite and despite crowding at the first bend she ran on well to lead on the run-in and beat the Wayne Wrighting trained Fifiatwelldigger by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Norah McEllistrim the November 2012 daughter of Kinloch Brae clocked 31.18 (-40) 30.78 calculated when winning her 3rd race at Hove! Kennel mate Granson Luca was slow away and baulked at the first bend. He clocked 31.78 (-40) 31.38 calculated finishing in 6th place seven and a half lengths behind the winner.

FOR THE IMPROVING “LEATHEMS DESIRE”
Improving youngster LEATHEMS DESIRE followed up his win on Wednesday with success in the D1 at 8-18. The June 2013 son of Head Bound came from off the pace running on well to beat the Paul Garland trained Key Point by a neck! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Winston’ clocked 16.67 (-20) 16.47 calculated when winning his 3rd race at Hove. Often sent off favourite Racing Club members will have been delighted with his 3/1 starting price! His win takes the Clubs total to 110 winners!
Leathems Desire – Exciting Prospect!
“DROOPYS MICHIGAN” DEFIES THE RISE IN GRADE!
DROOPYS MICHIGAN is another improving youngster in the kennel. He was sent off the 9/4 favourite for the A3 at 10-13 and defied the rise in grade in style beating the Paul Garland trained Slaheny Valley by two and a half length! Winner of an A4 last week the Dave Staddon owned May 2013 son of Central City led all the way clocking 30.49 (-30) 30.19 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove.
How Our Other Runners Fared
On Your Lonesome did well to finish 2nd in the D2 at 9-07 after being involved in early crowding. He clocked 17.07 (-20) 16.87 calculated when beaten two and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Brave. Kennel mate Anmima Madam was making her Hove debut and will improve for the run after finishing in 5th place clocking 17.36 (-20) 17.16 calculated just over six lengths behind the winner.
Avit On Elsie continues in good form and she led to the fourth bend after making another quick break in the A6 at 10-30. She was only passed by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Glory. ‘Elsie’ clocked 30.91 (-30) 30.61 calculated in 2nd place three lengths behind the winner.
