LONGRANGE DENIS OPENS HIS ACCOUNT AT HOVE AS DROOPYS MARGARET, AVIT ON ELSIE AND SPORTING TRACEY BRING UP THE KENNEL FOUR-TIMER!

Wednesday 28th May HOVE Report             All Races Going:  Normal

Winners

The latest Norah Mac Racing Club purchase LONGRANGE DENIS opened his account at Hove today! The three time Irish winner is highly rated by Norah who is confident he will make Open class. The December 2011 son of Droopys Kewell won the A3 at 3-07 on only his fourth outing at Hove. Sent off the 5/2 co favourite of three he was crowded at the third bend but ran on well to beat the Seamus Cahill  trained Droopys Willis by 1/2 a length clocking a decent 30.15 sec. Members of the Norah Mac Racing Club will be delighted with this first Hove win for ‘Denis’ who has two Lifford wins and a Drumbo Park win on his card!

DROOPYS MARGARET notched up a sixth career win when winning the A4 at 4-08. The November 2011 daughter of Tubbertelly Dubh owned by Norah McEllistrim and Ron Stainer was quick away and always led when beating the Derek Knight trained Maireads Secure just over one length! The 3/1 shot clocked a good time of 30.26 sec after producing a 4.18 split.

Not to be outdone by the win for Norah with Droopys Margaret our Assistant Trainer Gemma Byford also enjoyed success as an owner when AVIT ON ELSIE won the A11 at 4-27. The July 2012 daughter of Eden Brett showed her early pace and racing wide was never headed clocking 31.06 sec beating the Doreen Walsh trained Trafford Tiger just over one length. This was a third career win for Avit On Elsie who is owned by Gemma Byford and Scott Murray.

Winning for the eighth time this year SPORTING TRACEY won the A3 at 5-38 when staying on well to win on the line! The November 2010 daughter of Blackstone Gene clocked 30.30 sec beating the Doreen Walsh trained Cabela Holly by a short head! Owned by Mr K. Hazeltine Sporting Tracey was winning her eleventh race at Hove. With her victories at Henlow and Galway this was a ‘lucky’ 13th career win for Sporting Tracey who was returned at the rewarding odds of 9/2.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Westmead Louisa was added to the card yesterday and she produced a better showing than of late when beaten less than two lengths! She clocked 31.21 sec in the A10 at 2-08 after holding every chance behind the Paul Garland trained winner Newtown Skipmoll.

Coolscart Hawk needed a clear run to show his best but, after a slow start in the A7 at 2-47, he was baulked at the first bend and clocked 30.96 sec when beaten just over seven lengths by the Paul Garland trained winner Senor Merv.

Classy Molly has been in great form for the Racing Club recently and she ran well again when 3rd in the A5 at 3-48. ‘Molly’ clocked 30.76 sec, after crowding at the fourth bend, when beaten two and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Coomlogane Frank.

Boskill Breeze was crowded at the first and fourth bends and baulked at the 3/4 mark which ended her chance in the A6 at 5-22. She clocked 31.00 sec when beaten just under four lengths by the Derek Knight trained Baran Chicago and finished in 5th place.

EIGHT RUNNERS ON THE HOVE FRIDAY MORNING CARD

Friday 30th May HOVE Runners                          (Subject to Alteration)

On Your Lonesome has been well beaten recently but is capable of a good run if producing his best form in the D2 sprint at 11-11. He will have to look out for Princess Jetta who is also in the line up as she reverts to sprinting and is running well at present.

Glenvale Rosie is running well without winning at the moment. She should be staying on in the A10 at 11-42.

Glenvale Paddy missed his break last time out but he produced two good runs previously. ‘Paddy’ will be looking for his 18th career win in the A8 at 12-12.

We have two runners going to traps for the A4 at 12-58. Swift Debbie is a consistent performer and is in good form while Lobelia is up in grade for a recent win!

Droopys Winnie has been sent off favourite for three of her last four races! She would have a chance in the A6 at 1-12 with one of her better breaks!

Cause Of Justice is running well and clocking fast times. He stays on strongly in his races and should again give a good account of himself in the A2 at 1-58.
