Four Seconds! But “Paddy” Is A Winner!
GLENVALE PADDY TAKES THE HONOURS FOR US AT HOVE!
Wednesday 4th June HOVE Report
Winner
The kennel went close with four dogs filling the runners-up spot but GLENVALE PADDY was our only winner at Hove today! The August 2010 son of Droopys Kewell pays his way and was winning for the fifth time this year. Sent off at 5/1 for the A8 at 4-27 he was slow away but ran on well to lead at the 3/4 mark to go on and beat the Claude Gardiner trained 6/4 favourite Hovex Causeway by 3/4 of a length! ‘Paddy’ clocked 30.88 (-20) 30.68 calculated over the 515 metres. Owned by Bob Boswell, Paula Boswell, Krystyna Polubinski and Debbie Williams Glenvale Paddy was winning for the 18th time in his career. All these wins coming at Hove!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Sizzlers Big Boy was narrowly beaten in the A8 at 3-48. He was crowded at the third bend but ran on well to finish 2nd beaten a head by the Jason Heath trained winner Albion Legend. Sizzler Big Boy clocked 31.00 (-20) 30.80 calculated.
Intayacynthia showed a return to form when runner-up in the A6 at 4-08. She was beaten into 2nd place by Tyreler George who is trained by Wendy Short. Intayacynthia was baulked at the first bend and was two and a half lengths down at the line clocking 31.19 (-20) 30.99 calculated. Kennel mate Graiguenoe Royal was sent off the 2/1 favourite for this race but was soon under pressure after a slow break. He was crowded at the 3/4 mark and again on the run-in and clocked 31.26 (-20) 31.06 calculated in 3rd place just over three lengths behind the winner!
Fine Royal is going the right way and ran on well when finishing 2nd in the A5 at 4-47. He was beaten just under three lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Musical Black clocking 30.76 (-20) 30.56 calculated. Kennel mate Watch Matt was crowded at the third bend and clocked 31.17 (-20) 30.97 calculated just under eight lengths behind the winner in 6th place.
Zara Two was quick away in the D1 sprint at 5-07 but was baulked at the first bend! He recovered well to finish 2nd beaten just under five lengths by the easy winner Britania Joan who is trained by Maria Collins. Zara Two was a 10/1 chance and clocked 16.91 (-10) 16.81 calculated.
The Norah Mac Racing Club was represented by Horse Outside and Classy Molly on todays card and both ran well in defeat. Horse Outside was sent off the 8/1 outsider for the A7 at 3-07 and his chance was not helped by a slow break. He was beaten a length and a half by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Loughteen Stan clocking 31.04 (-20) 30.84 calculated in 3rd place! Like her Club mate Classy Molly also finished 3rd in the A5 at 6-11. She was baulked at the first bend but challenged from the third and was only one length behind the winner at the line! Molly clocked 31.01 (-20) 30.81 calculated in this contest which was won by Jays Pixie who is trained by Wendy Short.
Westmead Louisa was sent off the 2/1 favourite for the A11 at 3-28 but despite finding trouble in running finished a creditable 3rd! She was crowded at the first bend and baulked at the third but was only beaten one length by the Dean Childs trained winner Aero Illusion at the line! ‘Louisa’ clocked 31.40 (-20) 31.20 calculated.
Glenvale Rosie was crowded at the 1/4 mark during the A9 at 5-22 and was beaten just under five lengths finishing in 4th place. ‘Rosie’ clocked 31.16 (-20) 30.96 calculated. The race was won by Steeple Rd Katie who is trained by Jason Heath.
Princess Jetta was the 9/4 second favourite for the D2 sprint at 2-08 and held every chance when beaten three lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Rizzoli Brutus. ‘Jetta’ clocked 17.05 (-10) 16.95 calculated while her kennel mate Sizzlers Magpie, who also held every chance, clocked 17.11 (-10) 17.01 calculated in 6th place a further length away.
Droopys Margaret was in very good form previous to the A3 at 5-38 but she had a very rough ride in this event! Baulked at the first bend and badly baulked at the 1/4 mark she was beaten twelve lengths finishing in 6th place. The race was won by Clairekeith Will who is trained by Claude Gardiner.

OUR EIGHT RUNNERS RACING AT HOVE ON FRIDAY
Friday 6th June HOVE Runners
Lobelia missed the break on her latest outing and gets a drop in grade when she lines up in the A5 at 11-42.
Droopys Leonard is drawn outside a slow starter in Roseys Options and should get a good run into the first bend when he represents the Norah Mac Racing Club in the A5 at 11-57. He is running well and has to be given a chance!
Swift Messi has been running with credit all year and is rarely beaten far. He is holding his form extremely well and another good run is expected in the A6 at 12-12.
Boskill Breeze has struggled twice since a good debut run but gets a drop in grade for the A7 at 12-42.
Coolscart Hawk ran well in defeat on Sunday (beaten less than a length). He gets another chance to shine in the A7 at 12-58.
Cellini is running well this year and was not disgraced in a couple of Open races recently. She should run well in the A4 at 1-27.
There is plenty of pace drawn wide in the A11 at 1-44. Avit On Elsie likes to bowl along in front and must have every chance after escaping a penalty for her win last Wednesday!
Sporting Tracey is in great form! A winner last Wednesday and again on Sunday she is up in grade and on a hat-trick for the A2 at 1-58. Already a winner of nine races this year she will be staying on strongly at the finish!
Runners
LOBELIA, DROOPYS LEONARD, SWIFT MESSI, BOSKILL BREEZE, COOLSCART HAWK, CELLINI, AVIT ON ELSIE, SPORTING TRACEY
