“Fourth” Hove Win For Independent Jack!
‘JACK’ CLOCKS HIS BEST TIME TO BEAT ‘TOMMY’ FOR A KENNEL ONE-TWO!

INDEPENDENT JACK has been running well since stepping back up to 515 metres but the August 2013 son of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club had gone ten races without a win! He was baulked at the first bend and suffered crowding at the third when finishing 5th to Baran Kansas on his latest outing but Independent Jack bounced back to his very best to win the A5 at 8-51. The 9/4 shot was quickly away and always led when beating his kennel mate Satellite Fever by three and a half lengths! ‘Jack’ clocked his quickest time 30.34 (-10) 30.24 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove. Independents Jack’s win moves the Norah Mac Racing Club onto the 130 winner mark! Bob, Sue and Sam Hadley will be pleased with the run of SATELLITE FEVER who was a good winner of an A6 on the 14th October but the February 12 son of College Causeway was given a rough time when finishing 6th to Numero Oonah in an A5 on the 21st October. An 8/1 chance ‘Tommy’ suffered crowding at the first bend last night but he ran on well to finish 2nd clocking 30.61 (-10) 30.51 calculated to give the kennel a one-two!
How Our Other Runners Fared
TREE TOP SOFIE made her Hove debut in the D2 Sprint at 7-46. The November 13 daughter of Whiteys Hawk out of the dam Blue Aero had clocked 16.90 in a solo Trial last Monday. Sent off the 10/1 outsider she was slow away and suffered crowding at the second bend clocking 17.07 (-5) 17.02 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under five lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Caras Rosie Jean.
GRANSON LUCA has been in good form lately and the February 2012 son of Blackstone Gene has won two of his last five races! He ran well to beat Get On Joe by two lengths on the 16th October but he suffered crowding when 3rd to Jump The Gun last Sunday. Sent off the 2/1 favourite for the A10 at 8-02 he made a slow start and was also crowded at the second bend. Granson Luca clocked 31.29 (-10) 31.19 calculated when finishing in 2nd place two lengths behind the Doreen Walsh trained winner Ballydorgan Rose.
CAUSE OF JUSTICE is a very consistent performer at a high level! The January 12 son of College Causeway beat Crackaway Drama in the Bags Track Championship on the 2nd October and has finished a close 3rd to Minnies Elana on the 10th October and Starchill Oak on the 16th October! ‘Alfie’ was a good 2nd to Southwind Kat clocking 30.36 calculated last Saturday and was sent off the 5/2 favourite for the A2 at 10-13. He ran on well to finish 3rd behind the Derek Knight trained ‘pair’ of Tulna Hawk and Questhouse Rocky who dead-heated for 1st place! Beaten just a ‘neck’ by the joint winners Cause Of Justice clocked 30.37 (-10) 30.27 calculated finishing a short-head in front of kennel mate SIZZLERS PUMA who had led to near the line! The December 12 son of Skywalker Puma was pitched straight into Open class for his Hove debut on the 8th October finishing 4th to the useful Crackaway Drama. He was always handy in A2 grade on the 17th October clocking a very decent 30.25 when 3rd to the impressive Ballymac Loch. Having just his third run at Hove Sizzlers Puma clocked 30.38 (-10) 30.28 calculated when finishing 4th and it should not be too long before he opens his account!
SALEEN VIC made his Hove debut in the A1 at 10-30. The September 13 son of Ballymac Vic out of the dam Lystoll Ash clocked an impressive 30.16 when winning a three-dog Trial by five lengths on the 22nd October. He suffered trouble in running after making a slow start and finished a well beaten 6th clocking 30.96 (-10) 30.86 calculated when beaten by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Loughteen Pedro.
