‘GRANSON LUCA’ AND ‘SIZZLERS BIG BOY’ ON THE MARK FOR NORAH!

Friday 19th June 2015  –  HOVE Report

Winners

The win of GRANSON LUCA last Saturday was his first success since September 2014 but just like ‘London Buses’ along comes his second win in a week! To be fair the February 2012 son of Blackstone Gene had been off the track for 5 months through injury and his patient owner Ron Stainer really deserves this reward! Up in grade for last weeks win Granson Luca challenged on the run-in to dead-heat with the Maria Collins trained Ribena Stevie in the A9 at 4-33. Granson Luca clocked 31.03 (-10) 30.93 calculated to share the spoils and make it a lucky 13th win!

SIZZLERS BIG BOY went almost four months without a win but he has now won 4 of his last 8 races! The November 2010 son of Hades Rocket was on the mark again in the A8 at 4-49. Very slow away he finished well to get up and beat the Claude Gardiner trained Riverside Diva by a short-head! Owned by Dave and Joy Cook Sizzlers Big Boy clocked 31.35 (-10) 31.25 calculated when winning for the 12th time at Hove! Classy Molly (in-season) was withdrawn from this race.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Ballyneety Mike ran on well in the D2 Sprint at 3-18 to finish just 3/4 of a length behind the Claude Gardiner trained winner Ballverry Sean. A 5/1 chance Ballyneety Mike clocked 16.60 (-5) 16.55 calculated finishing in 3rd place. Kennel mate Watch Matt held every chance but faded to finish 5th clocking 16.95 (-5) 16.90 calculated just over five lengths behind the winner.

Causeiloveyou ran well in the A5 at 3-53 despite finishing 4th he was beaten less than one length by the Wendy Short trained winner Beardy Bless. Causeiloveyou clocked 30.62 (-10) 30.52 calculated after suffering crowding at the first bend!

The Norah Mac Racing Clubs Independent Jack ran another good race in the A6 at 4-14. The August 13 son of Kinloch Brae has good early pace and again led to the run-in where he was only just caught! A 3/1 chance ‘Jack’ clocked 30.84 (-10) 30.74 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten just 1/2 a length by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Musical Black.
