‘Obey The Rules’ Gets It All Right Today!

WINNER
OBEY THE RULES was last successful when beating Droopys Amuse by two and a half lengths in a D2 Sprint in April. The November 13 son of Westmead Hawk has been running in D1 grade plus a couple of Opens since but without troubling the judge! Sent off the 8/1 outsider for the D1 Sprint at 5-07 he got everything right when leading all the way to beat the Maria Collins trained Stellars Avenger by just over two lengths! Owned by Dr H. Ngan Obey The Rules clocked 16.57 (Normal) when winning for the 6th time at Hove! Kennel mate INDEPENDENT JACK was a 6/1 shot but the August 13 son of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was badly baulked at the 1st bend! Finishing in 4th place ‘Jack’ clocked 16.89 (Normal) when beaten four lengths by the winner.

How Our Other Runners Fared
DROOPYS RIVES was a 4/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 2-27 where despite finishing in 5th place the July 13 son of Westmead Hawk was always in with a chance! Clocking 17.05 (Normal) ‘River’ was beaten four lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Elijahs Dream.
AFTER SHOCK was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A8 at 3-48 and the April 15 daughter of Superior Product held every chance and clocking 31.15 (Normal) she finished in 3rd place beaten just under five lengths by Portumna Flower who is trained by Paul Garland.
BALIBO MAGS was a 7/2 chance for the A6 at 4-27 where the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate blasted from the traps (4.27 split) and she led to near the line! Clocking 30.50 (Normal) ‘Mags’ finished in 2nd place beaten just 3/4 of a length by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Ascot Harry.
BABY GOLD was a 5/1 chance for the A9 at 5-22 where the February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was quick away and led to the 3/4 mark! Tiring late on she finished in 3rd place clocking 31.25 (Normal) when beaten just under four lengths by Killeacle Lulu who is trained by Doreen Walsh.
FRONT STEP was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A8 at 5-38 but the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was baulked at the 1st bend and clocking 31.10 (Normal) she finished in 4th place beaten just a length and a half by Mairead Blue (Derek Knight) and Ballygibbon Moon (Wendy Short) who ‘dead-heated’ for 1st place! Kennel mate AVIT ON BESSIE was also a 4/1 chance and the March 14 daughter of Shaneboy Spencer also suffered crowding at the 1st bend and again at 1/2 way! Clocking 31.26 (Normal) she finished in 6th place beaten just over three length by the joint-winners!
SIZZLERS IVORY was a 4/1 chance for the A10 at 5-56 but the January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda was again badly baulked at the 1st bend! Clocking 31.63 (Normal) ‘Simba’ finished in 6th place beaten around ten lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Chutehall Lady.
REDSTAR POPPY lead on the run-in to beat Guinness Super by a head last time and the February 14 daughter of Kinloch Brae was sent off 7/2 joint-favourite for the A5 at 6-11. Showing good early pace she disputed the lead throughout and clocking 30.74 (Normal) she finished in 3rd place beaten just a length by May It Be who is trained by Paul Garland.
