FRIDAY HOVE REPORT
Friday 4th August 2017 – HOVE Report
TIMBERLEE LAD produced a strong late run to beat Aero Saffron by 3/4 of a length in a D3 Sprint on the 26th July and the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene was a 7/1 chance up in grade for the D2 Sprint at 2-08. Crowded on the run-in ‘Woody’ clocked 16.91 (-5) 16.86 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten a length and a half by the Ken Tester trained winner Eyed Lends Girl.
BALIBO RUBY was a 5/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 4-08 where the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate ran on well to finish in 2nd place! Clocking 16.94 (-5) 16.89 calculated ‘Ruby’ was beaten just 3/4 of a length by Guinness Solo who is trained by Seamus Cahill.
ASSERT booked his place in the A9 Owners Bonus Series Final at 4-27 when finishing 2nd to Abbodabbo Darlin in last weeks Heats! Sent off a 5/1 chance for today’s decider the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace suffered crowding at the 3rd bend and finishing in 4th place he clocked 31.37 (-10) 31.27 calculated when beaten just under eight lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Merchant Quay.
SPIDERMAN was sent off the 5/2 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 5-38 and although the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay challenged from the 2nd bend he was unable to peg back Genuine Deejay who is trained by Richard Rees. Clocking 16.63 (-5) 16.58 calculated Spiderman finished in 2nd place beaten just over a length by the winner. Kennel mate CASHONTHERUN was a 6/1 shot but the August 14 son of Colorful Champ found ‘trouble’ in running after making a slow start! Clocking 16.94 (-5) 16.89 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten just over five lengths by the winner.
