Friday 9th October 2020 – HOVE Report


BALLINTINE PATCH notched up a fine ‘double’ at the end of August beating  Droopys Sloane by a length and a half in A8 grade and Burninupthesand by four and a half lengths in A7 grade! Despite being well beaten by Yassoo Lady Luck after finding ‘trouble’ in running last Friday the September 16 daughter of Ballymac Vic was sent off 6/4 favourite for the A5 at 11-39. Baulked at the 1st bend she recovered to lead at the 3/4 mark and stayed on well to beat the Seamus Cahill trained Hazana by nearly two lengths! Owned by Mr A. Parfitt ‘Ballintine Patch’ clocked 30.40 (Normal) when winning for the 5th time at Hove!


OFFYOUGO made a very slow start but running on well came from last to first to beat the Wendy Short trained Im Justa Madam by almost five lengths in A5 grade last Saturday! Put up ‘two’ grades for that success the March 16 son of Farloe Blitz was sent off a 9/1 chance for the A3 at 11-54 and running an identical race he followed up in style! Slow away he ran on well to beat the Stuart Maplesden trained Karlow Eddie by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Dave Staddon and Ken Tester ‘Offyougo’ clocked 30.04 (Normal) when winning his 20th race at Hove!


BALLYSTEEN SKY – His 16th Win for the Racing Club!

BALLYSTEEN SKY returned to winning ways in A10 grade on the 4th August when leading on the run-in to beat Glenside Mag by 3/4 of a length! The January 16 son of Taylors Sky was beaten just 1/2 a length by Yassoo Lucy last Friday and was sent off a 5/1 chance for the A10 at 12-24. Baulked at the 1/4 mark he finished strongly to beat the Richard Rees trained Half Moon Run by a short-head!
Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Ballysteen Sky’ clocked 30.81 (Normal) when winning his 16th race at Hove and moves the Racing Club onto the 219 winner mark!
