‘HOVE’ RUNNERS DOMINATE SITTINGBOURNE FINAL!

Sunday 15th February 2015  –  SITTINGBOURNE Report

Sittingbourne      8-11   480 Metres Flat  (OR)                                           RESULT

(BAGS) THE SITTINGBOURNE STANDARD FINAL                   Going:  Normal
1st £500 & Trophy, Others £50

1st   MY REAL MUTLEY              29.04        Maria Collins (Hove)                          7/2
2nd GLENPADDEN BOLT       29.07        Norah McEllistrim (Hove)           6/4 fav
3rd   LANN JACOB                      29.31        John Mullins (Yarmouth)                    7/4

Glenpadden Bolt would have prefered to be drawn nearer the rails for the SITTINGBOURNE STANDARD FINAL Open Race at Central Park last night. But despite his trap 4 draw he was always handy and only failed by a neck to peg back the Marie Collins trained winner My Real Mutley who had led from the first turn! Glenpadden Bolt was sent off the 6/4 favourite and clocked 29.07 (Normal) in 2nd place!

Sittingbourne      9-19   500 Metres Flat  (OR)                                           RESULT

(BAGS) THE SITTINGBOURNE SUPER STANDARD                 Going:  Normal
TONIGHTS HIT OR BUST JACKPOT RACE
1st £250 & Trophy, Others £40

1st   JET STREAM JACK         30.28        Kevin Hutton (Towcester)                 4/6 fav
2nd  ITS SHOWTIME                 30.50        Ricky Holloway (Unattached)             3/1
3rd   BRIGHT MILLY                   30.74       Anthony Collett (Wimbledon)              7/1
4th  BALLYMAC CHINDIT      30.80       Norah McEllistrim (Hove)                7/2

Like his kennel mate a rails draw would have suited Ballymac Chindit for the SITTINGBOURNE SUPER STANDARD Open Race but housed in trap 4 he was unable to get a perfect position. Although making a good break he was forced to check at the 3/4 mark and at this level your chance is gone! Ballymac Chindit finished in 4th place clocking 30.80 (Normal) when beaten just over six lengths by the Kevin Hutton trained winner Jet Stream Jack.

‘CLYDE’ UPDATE

Razldazl Clyde returned to the kennels last night after having two screws inserted, by vet Daniel Doherty, to the hock he broke in a Springbok Trial Stakes at Wimbledon on Saturday night. ‘Clyde’ was leading a quality field when the injury occurred and he received great care by the Wimbledon vets and Norah’s kennel staff Kate Aris and Charlotte Cooper who made sure he was comfortable. Norah reported last night that Clyde had come through the operation well and explained that Daniel had put a cast on the leg for protection and said Clyde was back in his kennel and had eaten up and was wagging his tail!

On a bad night for the kennel Fine Royal was in contention and looking the likely winner of his Springbok Trial Stakes heat but was a faller at the 4th hurdle!
