THREE WINS!   FROM LAST FOUR RUNS!   “GRAIGIE”  CAN’T STOP WINNING!

Saturday Night HOVE Report

Winners

He failed to win in a run of sixteen races going back to last September but now GRAIGUENOE ROYAL doesn’t seem to know how to lose! In the form of his life he has now won three of his last four races! “Graigie” suffered defeat in an A4 on Wednesday but relished the return to A5 on Saturday night. The Dec 09 son of Royal Impact was sent off the 9/4 joint favourite and showing early pace he led all the way clocking 30.42 on the normal going. Owned by the Scarlet Pimpernel syndicate this success was a 15th career win! Kennel mate Satellite Fever, sent off the other joint favourite, spoilt his chance with a slow break. He then suffered crowding at the first bend and from then on it was always going to be difficult for the youngster. He clocked 30.78 back in 4th place.

Our second winner on the night was possible through the skill and patience of Norah and her kennel staff! SUMMERFIELD BELL has suffered multiple setbacks in the last year and never raced in 2013. The Feb 11 daughter of Hondo Black, who has three Galway wins (in 2012) on her Irish card, was beaten more than eight lengths in a Hove sprint on her return to the track in January. Stepping up to 515 metres she was quick away and led from traps to line to win this A9 by over six lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim she clocked 30.50 on the normal going.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Pretty In Blue last appeared in a 515 metre race at Hove in March 2013 and connections will be hoping she comes through this return without problems. She finished 5th in the A8 clocking 31.16 (Normal) after taking a very wide course between the first two bends.

We had two runners in the A5 at 8-51. Swift Debbie came out on top of our pair but was only 3rd. Finding trouble at the first bend after a quick break she was further crowded at the third and clocked 30.70 on the normal going. Donnas Gift was slow away and crowded at the third bend. He clocked 31.07 in 6th place.

You have to feel sorry for Athlacca Olympic who keeps finding one or two to beat at the top level. He was 3rd in the A2 at 10-30, beaten just over three lengths and clocking 30.49 (Normal), after being crowded at the first and third bends. A drop to A3 would help him get his head in front!

SIX RUNNERS ON THE HOVE SUNDAY LUNCH-TIME CARD

Sunday 16th February HOVE Runners    (Subject to Alteration)

Edo Empress has found trouble in her last three runs but she could go well with a clear run in the A10 at 11-28.

Lobelia has the early to lead up on the inside but the in form Classy Molly can’t be ruled out of the A5 at 12-12.

Princess Jetta has been in good form lately and her early pace should get her involved in the A6 at 1-12.

Sizzlers Big Boy has found trouble in running since beating the in form Classy Molly. If he can find that form in the A7 at 1-44 he would go close!

Ballymac Kerry is looking for career win number six in the A5 at 1-58.
