LEATHEMS DESIRE justified his call-up to ‘Hove’s’ Bags Track Championship team with a sparkling win in the Sprint at 3-48. Keeping wide he was always in a good position to challenge the Alma Keppie trained Trade Victorious who had grabbed a decent lead on the rails. As they straightened off the last bend ‘Winston’ ran on strongly to beat the Poole runner by a length! The June 2013 son of Head Bound clocked 16.62 (-20) 16.42 calculated when completing a Hove hat-trick having won on his previous two outings! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club the improving youngster was winning for the 4th time at Hove. His win earned Hove 10 points and took the kennel Racing Club total to 111 winners!

The May 2013 son of Central City won the Bags Track Championship Standard at 5-07 in great style beating the Jason Heath trained Rise Of Fayjen by an impressive two and three quarter lengths! The Dave Staddon owned youngster clocked a very fast 30.32 (-40) 29.92 calculated when winning his 4th race at Hove earning another 10 points for the team!

Longrange Denis was unable to give the kennel a Bags Track Championship ‘treble’ but he couldn’t have tried any harder! The Norah Mac Racing Club star hit the rails at the first bend, suffered crowding at the second, yet somehow managed to weave himself into contention! He chased the Kevin Hutton trained winner Stanton Ranger (29.89 calculated) all the way to the line going down by just under two lengths! ‘Denis’ clocked a very decent 30.44 (-40) 30.04 calculated in 2nd place earning 7 points for Hove!

RELEASE THE ACE is in very good form at present and made it 3 wins from his last 5 races when winning the A7 at 2-27. Owned by Mr P. G. Tomlin and Mrs S. S. Tomlin he led from the second bend beating the Jason Heath trained Riverside Belle by two lengths. The April 2012 son of Ace Hi Rumble was sent off the 5/2 favourite and clocked 30.76 (-40) 30.36 calculated when winning for the 8th time at Hove!
MINEOLA PROF made it a great day for his owner Dave Staddon having won earlier in the afternoon! The May 2012 son of College Causeway won the A4 at 2-47 making it 4 wins from his last 7 runs! Sent off the 6/4 favourite he led from the third bend and clocked 30.59 (-40) 30.19 calculated when beating the Doreen Walsh trained Burnpark Pixie by two and a half lengths. This was a 5th Hove win for the ‘Prof’ who also has a win at Derry on his Irish card!
Athlacca Olympic ran another good race in the A3 at 3-07. He led to the fourth bend but was unable to hold off the Claude Gardiner trained winner Evanta Candyman who stayed on to win just over a length. Sent off the 5/2 joint favourite Athlacca Olympic clocked 30.77 (-40) 30.37 calculated in 2nd place!
