HOLLANDS BULLET took advantage of third bend crowding to sweep past the Paul Young trained Droopys Tralee on the run-in to spring a 10/1 surprise! The April 2013 son of Timor Blue had stayed on well in his two previous Open runs and was gaining his first career win! Owned by John Holland he was bumped at the first bend but he ran on well clocking 28.54 (Normal) to win by one length!

TOWN CLOCK had good form in Ireland including a 2nd place in a Shelbourne Park Open over 480 metres! The October 2012 son of Archaton Pine stays well having won over 668 metres at Waterford in April so when he grabbed a first bend lead it was game on! With just the one Wimbledon trial under his belt since joining Norah his fitness had to be taken on trust but he had enough in reserve to gain a Hove debut win for owners Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory. Town Clock clocked a very decent 30.05 (Normal) when beating the John Mullins trained Barnish Panther by a short-head! This was a 10th career win for Town Clock as he has 5 wins at Waterford, 3 wins at Shelbourne Park and one win at Enniscorthy on his Irish card! Kennel mate Robeen Sky was slow away and was always in rear clocking 31.09 (Normal) finishing in 6th place.

Glenvale Stevie didn’t trap well and found trouble at the first bend. He was always behind and clocked 28.46 calculated when finishing in 6th place almost eight lengths behind the Alma Keppie trained winner Droopys Rem.

Sparta Flame ran a very good race and clocked a decent 16.34 (Normal) when finishing 2nd to the John Mullins trained winner Soviet Paddy. Sparta Flame having just his second run for Norah held every chance when beaten just over two lengths! Kennel mate Sizzlers Eagle was sent off the 7/4 favourite but after a very slow start he was badly bumped at the first bend and clocked 16.79 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place beaten eight lengths by the winner.

Coologue Gem ran well in Heat 2 of the CORAL STAYERS Competition and qualified for next weeks Final when finishing 2nd to the Claude Gardiner trained winner Zulu Baran. Coologue Gem suffered crowding at the third bend and clocked 42.02 (Normal) when beaten just over four lengths by the winner.
