WINNERS

BABY GOLD  –  her 8th win at Hove!

BABY GOLD beat Suirview Boris by 3/4 of a length in A8 grade on the 12th August! Two runs later she clocked 30.82 calculated when beating Glencorbry Cara by 3/4 of a length in A7 grade on 27th August. The February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was up in A6 grade on the 2nd September but she suffered crowding on the run-up and clocked 30.98 calculated when finishing 6th beaten just under six lengths by Lough Mosshie. A 7/1 shot for an A6 on Wednesday she held every chance clocking 30.71 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten just under two lengths by Albion Blue and she was given a drop in grade for the A7 at 8-18. Baby Gold made no mistakes and the 9/2 chance led all the way to beat the Jason Heath trained Honeygar Jade by a length and a half! Owned by the Jaytee Syndicate she clocked 30.40 (+10) 30.50 calculated when winning her 8th race at Hove!

Impressive ‘Star’ Is Improving!

BALLYSTEEN STAR clocked 30.89 (Normal) when beating Suirview Boris by a length in A8 grade on the 17th August! The July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari clocked 31.15 calculated when finishing 4th beaten five lengths by Clairkeith Sky in an A8 on the 31st August but she ran well in that grade on Wednesday. Challenging all the way she clocked 30.74 (Normal) when finishing 2nd beaten two lengths by Guinness Five and was given a drop in grade for the A9 at 8-51. Sent off the 4/5 favourite she took full advantage when leading all the way to beat the Jason Heath trained Swift Lagan by two and a half lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim Ballysteen Star clocked 30.44 (+10) 30.54 calculated (her fastest time) when winning for the 2nd time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

SPIDERMAN was 2/1 joint-favourite for a D1 Sprint on the 2nd September where he finished 3rd clocking 16.52 calculated when beaten two and a half lengths by Jumeirah Maximus. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was 2/1 favourite for a Maiden Open Sprint at Hove on Thursday but he suffered crowding and clocked 16.65 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten just over a length by Obey The Rules. He was back in action for the D1 Sprint at 9-57 but was hindered by a slow start and could only manage 5th place clocking 16.65 (+5) 16.70 calculated when beaten just over three lengths by the Paul Garland trained winner Portumna Socks.

SIZZLERS DIAMOND clocked 30.59 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten three and a half lengths by Slaheny King in A1 grade on the 27th August. The March 14 son of Head Bound was given a drop in grade for an A2 on the 2nd September where he was sent off the 9/4 favourite! Baulked at the first bend after making a slow start he clocked 30.58 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten seven and a half lengths by Guinness Four. Sent off a 5/2 chance last night he was back on song for the A2 at 10-30. Despite a slow start and crowding at the third bend he clocked a very decent 30.18 (+10) 30.28 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just a length by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Cork Falcon.

BALIBO RUBY

BALIBO RUBY clocked 30.80 calculated when beaten three lengths by Albion Blue in A7 grade on the 1st September. The July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate was sent off 9/4 favourite for an A7 on Wednesday where she disputed the lead from the second to the fourth bend! Clocking 30.76 calculated ‘Ruby’ finished in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by Swift Cleopatra and she now runs in the A7 at 11-11.

                               GLENVALE STEVIE                                   TIP TOP TARA

GLENVALE STEVIE clocked 16.81 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under two lengths by Jumeirah Henry in a D1 Sprint on the 31st August.  The November 11 son of Paddys Flame was slow away and suffered crowding at the first bend in a D1 Sprint on Wednesday where he clocked 16.94 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten two and a half lengths by Roses Risk. ‘Stevie’ is given a drop in grade for the D2 Sprint at 11-28 where he lines up with kennel mate TIP TOP TARA who clocked 16.52 (Normal) when beating Swift Banzai by three lengths in a D2 Sprint on the 28th July. The June 14 daughter of Paradise Madison clocked 16.54 calculated in a Solo Sprint Trial at Hove on Monday and returns from injury today!

DROOPYS TEQUILA led to the run-in clocking 30.63 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just over a length by Lough Mosshie in A6 grade on the 2nd September. The September 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was 2/1 favourite for an A6 on Wednesday and she ran another good race when finishing 2nd to Albion Blue. Clocking 30.66 (Normal) she challenged on the run but failed by just a length to peg back the winner and she re-appears in the A6 at 11-57.

ASK ME AGAIN

ASK ME AGAIN was very badly bumped at the first bend and clocked 32.03 calculated when finishing 6th beaten thirteen lengths by Not Tied Down in A11 grade on the 20th August. The September 13 daughter of Vans Escalade was looking for a clear run in an A11 on the 3rd September but sadly she did not get one! Baulked at the first bend and again at the 3/4 mark she finished in 6th place clocking 31.65 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by Tour De France. ‘Megan’ will be hoping for a change of luck in the A11 at 12-27.

ASSERT has been withdrawn from the A5 at 1-28 and the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace is a non-runner.

AEGEAN DELIGHT clocked 16.76 (Normal) when finishing 3rd behind Risk Of Value in a D2 Sprint on the 25th June. The August 14 daughter of Colorful Champ clocked 16.72 calculated in a Solo Sprint Trial at Hove on Monday following seasonal rest and she returns to race action for the D2 Sprint at 1-44.
