‘ALFIE’ JUDGES IT JUST RIGHT FOR ANOTHER ‘JURY OF TEN’ SUCCESS!

Saturday 11th July 2015  –  HOVE Report

Winner

CAUSE OF JUSTICE is a great dog to own and certainly pays his way! He has won 18 of his 55 races which gives him an incredible one win in three runs average! When you consider he has raced at A3 grade or higher since December 2013 you realize the talent of the January 2012 son of College Causeway. He was off the track for almost four months after winning a Hove Open in January and he has been running well since his return in May. A close up 2nd in three outings ‘Alfie’ finally got back to winning ways when beating the Ken Tester trained Len The Turner by a head in A3 grade last Saturday. Up in grade for the A2 at 10-13 Cause Of Justice put in a fine effort to follow up that success! He came from off the pace and running on well got up close home to beat his kennel mate Viscount Rambler by 1/2 a length! Owned by the Jury Of Ten Syndicate ‘Alfie’ clocked a very decent 30.12 (-10) 30.02 calculated when winning his 17th race at Hove! He also has an Open race win at Swindon on his card! Viscount Rambler, who had won a Romford Open last Friday, was sent off the 2/1 favourite and he performed well in the runners-up spot! Quick away he led to near the line clocking 30.17 (-10) 30.07 calculated!

How Our Other Runners Fared

Glenvale Stevie is no mug and has 6 Open race wins to his credit! He has also won 6 times in D1 grade and he ran well to finish 3rd in the D1 Sprint at 7-46 last night. Glenvale Stevie was quick away and challenged the Derek Knight trained winner Somoud on the run-in but clocking 16.63 (-5) 16.58 calculated he failed by just 3/4 of a length! The one thing you have to get right in a sprint is the break and the writing was on the wall for supporters of Bush Samcro, sent off the 2/1 second favourite, from the start! Slow away and baulked at the first bend it was impossible for him to recover and he finished in 5th place clocking 16.89 (-5) 16.84 calculated four lengths behind the winner.

Kilcommon was sent off the 6/4 favourite for the A11 at 8-02 and after showing good early pace he led to the 3/4 mark. Things changed dramatically at this stage when he was baulked and dropping back to 5th place he clocked 31.98 (-10) 31.88 calculated when beaten just over five lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Airforce Mia.

There was a good finish to the A1 at 10-30 where Town Clock and Droopys Flash battled out the finish! Town Clock had always been handy and rallied close home when challenged by the Claude Gardiner trained Droopys Flash who prevailed by just 3/4 of a length. Town Clock clocked an excellent 30.06 (-10) 29.96 calculated in 2nd place!

DATA OLLY

Data Olly  –  Up ‘two’ grades!

Data Olly was a good winner of an A5 on Wednesday and the June 13 son of Head Bound has been put up ‘two’ grades for that success and runs in the A3 at 12-12.

Hollands Bullet got off the mark when winning a Hove Maiden Open over 475 metres at the end of June. Well beaten at Open level last time he now lines up in the A4 at 12-41.

Lochys Blue Boy has won 13 sprints at Hove with six of those wins coming in Open class! Good run behind Hooverville last time and he should run well in the D1 Sprint at 12-58. Ballymac Marine picked up an injury last week and is a doubtful runner.
