ASSERT – 2nd Hove Win!
ASSERT got off the mark in A6 grade at Hove on the 29th July when beating Miomi by a length! He was well beaten in an ‘Inter-Track’ Heat at Romford on the 10th August and made a slow start in an A5 back at Hove on the 14th August. Clocking 31.03 (Normal) he finished 5th beaten seven lengths by Gringos Tally and the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace was given a drop in grade for the A6 at 3-07. Sent off a 5/1 shot he ran on well after making a slow start and beat the Wayne Wrighting trained Scala Spark by almost two lengths! Owned by Diane Benson Assert clocked 30.66 (-10) 30.56 calculated when winning his 2nd race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
GLENVALE STEVIE was badly baulked at the first bend and clocked 16.88 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just over six lengths by Forest Fuseler in a D1 Sprint last Friday. The November 11 son of Paddys Flame was back in action for the D1 Sprint at 2-08 where he was made 3/1 joint-favourite! After suffering crowding at 1/2 way ‘Stevie’ clocked 16.92 (-5) 16.87 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Dark Sky.
DROOPYS LUNAR led all the way clocking 30.67 (Normal) when beating Jump The Gun by almost five lengths in A8 grade on the 5th August! The November 13 daughter of Droopys Cain was up in grade for an A7 on the 11th August where she suffered crowding at the second bend and clocked 31.12 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten three and a half lengths by Coolykereen Dame. A 7/1 chance for the A7 at 4-27 today he was baulked at the first bend and crowded at the second! Clocking 31.67 (-10) 31.57 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten twelve lengths by Starch Hill Sid who is trained by Claude Gardiner.
KILCOMMON led from the first bend until suffering crowding at the 3/4 mark and clocked 31.34 calculated when finishing 6th beaten six and a half lengths by Swift Holly in A8 grade last Friday. The August 13 son of Vans Escalade was given a drop in grade for the A9 at 5-07 and although our 7/2 chance clocked 31.06 (Normal) when finishing in 2nd place he was beaten almost seven lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Champagne Maura.
DATA OLLY ran on well to clock 30.56 calculated when beating Droopys Bologna by 3/4 of a length in A5 grade on the 17th August! The June 13 son of Head Bound was up in grade for an A4 last Saturday and he again ran on well to clock 30.72 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten four lengths by Unfashionable. Data Olly was a 5/1 chance for the A4 at 5-22 and again he ran on well after making a slow start! Clocking 30.64 (Normal) he finished in 3rd place beaten just over five lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Miomi.

BALIBO MAGS was sent off 11/4 favourite for a ROMFORD v HOVE INTER-TRACK RACE over 400 metres on the 10th August. Taking her first look at the London Road track ‘Mags’ showed good early pace and led from the first bend to power away for a sparkling win over the Philip Simmonds trained Kennedy Flair. Clocking 24.45 calculated the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate beat the local runner by almost five lengths and she stepped up to Open class for the first time in the THE MARK NOLLER 40TH BIRTHDAY STAKES at 9-56 last night. Again showing good early pace she led from the second bend to the third when finishing 2nd to the impressive Crossfield James who is trained by Seamus Cahill. Balibo Mags clocked 24.56 calculated when beaten four lengths by the winner. Balibo Mags is back at Romford tonight and she lines up for Heat 1 of the CHAMPIONS NIGHT BITCHES Competition at 9-40 where a first ‘three’ finish will see her qualify for the Final on Wednesday 31st August.
