Winners
SIZZLERS EAGLE could be another star in the making for Dave and Joy Cook. He is improving fast and followed up a recent Open success when winning the D1 Sprint at 1-33. The April 2013 son of Timur Blue made a quick start and led all the way beating the Maria Collins trained My Real Mutley by two and a half lengths! Sent off the 2/1 favourite he clocked a very decent 16.34 (-5) 16.29 calculated when winning his 4th race at Hove! Razldazl Clyde stepped in for the withdrawn Ballymac Marine and he held every chance finishing in 4th place. ‘Clyde’ clocked 16.67 (-5) 16.62 calculated four lengths off the winner!
SIZZLERS BIG BOY is enjoying a fine run of form and he defied the rise in grade when winning the A7 at 3-48. This was a third win in four races for the Dave and Joy Cook owned runner! The November 2010 son of Hades Rocket was slow away but the 8/1 chance ran on to lead at the fourth bend beating the Claude Gardiner trained Watch Me Wiggle by three lengths! Clocking 30.68 (-10) 30.58 calculated Sizzlers Big Boy was winning for the 8th time at Hove!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Every one wanted to see Baby Sky end the year with a win! But it wasn’t to be as she was stopped in her run when baulked at the third bend in the A5 at 2-08. Sent off the 9/4 favourite Baby Sky clocked 30.91 (-10) 30.81 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten around three lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Ballydorgan Rose.
Shyan Zippy was well behind the Jason Heath trained winner To Tone Lexi in the A8 at 2-47. She clocked 31.77 (-10) 31.67 calculated but the slow time was due to cramping.
Farloe Scolari was crowded at the second bend in the D2 Sprint at 3-28 and never recovered to mount a challenge finishing in 4th place. He clocked 17.04 (-5) 16.99 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Swift Merlot. Kennel mate On Your Lonesome was the 14/1 outsider and he finished 6th clocking 17.11 (-5) 17.06 calculated beaten just over five lengths by the winner.
Cellini showed good early pace in the A5 at 4-47 and led from the first bend to the run-in but was caught in the final strides by the Claude Gardiner trained Kilmurry Luke who got up to win by 3/4 of a length! Cellini clocked 30.77 (-10) 30.67 calculated in 2nd place! Swift Debbie was quick away but faded clocking 30.94 (-10) 30.84 calculated in 6th place just under three lengths behind the winner.
