SUPERB RUN OF FORM CONTINUES FOR THE NORAH MAC KENNEL!

The winners continue to flow from the Burhill Kennels of Norah McEllistrim. A Five-timer on Wednesday is now followed up by another Five-timer on a very Good Friday! All credit to the kennel staff and a huge thanks for their hard work and care in achieving these results!

Friday 18th April HOVE Report

Winners

GLENVALE ROSIE has been in reasonable form lately and as she runs regularly and has won a race in each month of this year she pays her way! This was a ninth Hove win for the April 2011 daughter of Bexhill Eoin and she took the A11 at 11-42 in fine style leading from the first bend to beat the Dean Childs trained Aero Illusion by a length! Owned by the Rosie Syndicate she was sent off the 9/4 second favourite and clocked 31.13 (-10) 31.03 calculated.

The Norah Mac Racing Club enjoyed another winner when their CLASSY MOLLY won the A8 at 12-12. The September 2011 daughter of Duke Special was crowded at the first bend but ran on strongly to short head the Claude Gardiner trained Britania Oi Oi on the line! She had gone twelve races without winning after a brace of wins in February but returned to form when clocking 30.94 (-10) 30.84 calculated for her 8th win at Hove!

This win by Classy Molly takes the Racing Clubs total of winners to 89 wins!

CAUSE OF JUSTICE has proved to be a real bargain for the Jury Of Ten syndicate created when the January 2012 son of College Causeway came up for sale at Christmas! He was winning for the 5th time this year when he got up close home in the A3 at 12-27 beating the Dean Childs trained Whata Lovely Job by 1/2 a length! He is rarely fast away but does his best work in the closing stages and he followed up his win of last Saturday by clocking 30.36 (-10) 30.26 calculated over the 515 metre trip. His career started at Coventry where he failed to win in four races over 450 metres but the switch to Hove and the step up in trip was ideal for him and he has now won a total of 9 races from 22 runs at the sea-side track!

MIKEYS GUEST was a winner last Saturday and he followed up that win in the A5 at 12-42 when taking up the running at the 1/4 mark and going on to beat the Jason Heath trained Lawseys Cracker by 3/4 of a length. The August 2010 son of Crash is owned by Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory and he clocked 30.49 (-10) 30.39 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove. Mikeys Guest has eight wins on his Irish card with wins at Shelbourne Park (4), Waterford (3) and Newbridge (1) giving him a career total of 12 wins! Kennel mate Droopys Margaret was not disgraced back in third place as she held every chance and clocked 30.72 (-10) 30.62 calculated only three lengths behind the winner.

GLENVALE PADDY was our 5th winner on the day from just 8 runners! He had been well beaten recently but bounced back to form in the A9 at 1-58. The August 2010 son of Droopys Kewell led at the 1/4 mark and ran away with this race beating the Wendy Short trained Tillyrod Teady by over four lengths! Owned by Bob Boswell, Paula Boswell, Debbie Forrest and Krystyna Polubinski he clocked 30.82 (-10) 30.72 calculated for his 16th win at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

Droopys Bertha was only beaten a length in the A6 at 11-11 after being baulked at the third bend. She clocked 30.72 (-10) 30.62 calculated in 3rd place behind the Claude Gardiner trained winner Ballyregan Shana.

Watch Matt was very slow away in the A4 at 11-57 and never got into the race. He was alway in rear and clocked 30.98 (-10) 30.88 calculated about ten lengths behind the Derek Knight trained Droopys Ethel.

NEW CLUB DOG TRIALS AT HOVE

The Norah Mac Racing Club’s new purchase LONGRANGE DENIS had his first run out today in a 515 metre spin round Hove. The white and black December 2011 son of Droopys Kewell out of the dam Boyneside Walk was purchased at the Sheffield Sales. At £3,360 he was the second highest priced sale of the day!

LONGRANGE DENIS is a three times winner in his native Ireland. He has won over 320 Metres at Lifford, 480 Metres at Drumbo Park and gained a Greyhound Data rating of 111 when winning over 503 Metres at Lifford clocking 30.03 on the 12th October which was the fastest time of the year over the trip! He was beaten a ‘head’ by Tyrur Arthur at Shelbourne Park on the 1st of February this year!

Collinstown View is up in grade for his latest win and is running well and should give a good account of himself in the A3 at 8-18.

We have two runners in the A6 at 8-51 and either could win it. Swift Messi is running well this year and can be forgiven his last run as he was baulked! Swift Debbie could win this with a repeat of the 30.35 she clocked on the 7th Feb. However she has not repeated that form since.

On Your Lonesome must avoid trouble in running to figure in the D1 sprint at 9-24.

Athlacca Olympic has been in good form but found trouble on his latest run. Could bounce back in the A2 at 9-41.

Lochys Blue Boy is in very good form and looking to follow up his win last Saturday in the D1 sprint at 10-13.
