Christmas seems to have come early for delighted owners Dave and Joy Cook, who’s greyhounds all race with the ‘Sizzlers’ pre-fix, as they enjoy a nice run of success! Their Sizzlers Eagle won the big Coral Christmas Maiden Sprint Final at Hove on Thursday night and the same evening Sizzlerscheyenne made a very promising Hove debut finishing 2nd in A3 grade! SIZZLERS BIG BOY rewarded his owners patience today when recording his second win since returning from almost five months out through injury! The November 2010 son of Hades Rocket was baulked at the first bend in the A8 at 12-58 but stayed on to dispute the lead throughout and got up to beat the Jason Heath trained To Tone Lexi by 1/2 a length! Sizzlers Big Boy clocked 31.12 (-30) 30.82 calculated when winning his 7th race at Hove!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Judicial Babe was quick away in the A6 at 11-28 and led to the fourth bend but was just out stayed by the Jason Heath trained winner Albion Blue who got up to win by a length and a half! Judicial Babe clocked 31.00 (-30) 30.70 calculated in the runners-up spot.
Avit On Elsie showed good early pace and led to the 3/4 mark in the A6 at 11-42 but faded to finish 4th clocking 31.19 (-30) 30.89 calculated and was beaten three and a half lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Seabourne Caviar.
Speak Out Lilly was on a four-timer for the A5 at 1-12 but her chance of success went when crowded at the fourth bend. Although she finished in 6th place she was beaten less than two lengths by the Paul Garland trained winner Newtown Skiprose. ‘Lilly’ clocked 31.03 (-30) 30.73 calculated.
