Beaten favourite on his latest run CAUSE OF JUSTICE bounced back to winning ways with a typical late effort to wear down long time leader Get On Gio in the A3 at 12-27. The 2012 son of College Causeway out of the dam Odell Faith, bred by Noreen Power and Colin Mead, has a superb record at Hove and needs all of the 515 metres to show his best! A 5/1 chance today ‘Alfie’ led on the run-in to beat the Seamus Cahill trained Get On Gio by 3/4 of a length! Owned by the Jury Of Ten syndicate he clocked 30.58 sec. when winning his 13th race at Hove! He also has an Open race win at Swindon to his credit!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Farloe Scolari was slow away in the D2 sprint at 11-11 and was beaten four lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Geneva Colin. ‘Phil’ clocked 17.20 sec. finishing in 4th place. Sizzlers Swallow was a non-runner.
Ballymac Benefit could be called a little unlucky in the A6 at 11-57. She was slow away and crowded at the third and fourth bends but running on well was only two lengths behind the race winner Burnpark Pixie, who is trained by Doreen Walsh, at the line. Ballymac Benefit clocked 31.31 sec. finishing in 2nd place!
Speak Out Lilly has been in tremendous winning form and has climbed the grades recently and she was a 5/1 chance for the A5 at 12-41. She didn’t perform too badly but was beaten three and half lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Woodmancote Kidd. ‘Lilly’ clocked 31.05 sec. in 5th place.
