KENNEL HOPE TO RESUME WINNING WAYS ON SUNDAY!

Having gone four race days without a winner we will be looking for a change of luck at Hove on Sunday! Most of the dogs are running well and we have lost out in some close finishes! But the winners have eluded us! We have two chances of runners qualifying for next weeks Owners Bonus Series Final at Hove today and that would give the kennel a big lift. Collinstown View runs in Heat 1 and Sporting Tracey runs in Heat 2. Good luck to all our runners today!

Saturday 17th May HOVE Report

All races +10       except the D1 Sprint +5

No winners Saturday night but again some good performances! Athlacca Olympic ran another brave race when finishing 2nd beaten just a length in the A2 at 10-30. He has competed at the highest level all year and rarely runs a bad race. The 7/1 shot held every chance and clocked 30.13 (30.23 calculated) behind the Paul Garland trained winner Invicta Bluebee.

Cause Of Justice is another of our runners who performs to his best week in and week out. Having clocked 29.88 winning his A2 last Saturday he was sent off at 7/1 for his first attempt in A1 class at 8-02. He ran very well and held every chance when dead-heating with Wendy Short’s Torbal Caviar for 3rd place just one and a quarter lengths behind the Dean Childs trained winner Teejaysblackhawk. ‘Alfie’ clocked 30.21 (30.31 calculated) and again was doing his best work at the finish!

Glenvale Rosie is a consistent sort and she ran well in the A10 at 7-46. She was crowded at the 3/4 mark but ran on well and was beaten two and a half lengths in 2nd place by Bellinter Berry who is trained by Wayne Wrighting. ‘Rosie’ was sent off at odds of 6/1 and clocked 30.96 (31.06 calculated).

Zara Two had been off the track since January and made his comeback in the D1 sprint at 9-57. Unfancied at 10/1 he ran a blinder on his return and was beaten two and a half lengths into 3rd place behind the Paul Garland trained winner Invicta Margot. Zara Two was baulked at the first bend and he clocked 16.63 (16.68 calculated) and will come on greatly from this run!

Boskill Breeze made a pleasing debut in the A6 at 9-07 when finishing 3rd just one and a half lengths behind the Jason Heath trained Riverside Belle. She was sent off at 6/1 odds and held every chance clocking 30.53 (30.63 calculated) doing her best work at the finish.

Things didn’t go as well for Causeiloveyou on his  debut in the A4 at 8-51. He was slow away but handy to 1/2 way before being held up when baulked! He finished in 6th place, five and a half lengths, behind the Derek Knight trained winner Joellie clocking 30.77 (30.87 calculated) but our 6/1 shot will have gained valuable race experience with this run.

Judicial Babe was only beaten two lengths when 4th in the A7 at 8-34. Racing wide she held every chance behind the Jason Heath trained winner Dacent Thelma. Judicial Babe was priced up at 5/1 by the bookies and clocked 30.75 (30.85 calculated) for the 515 metre trip.

Ballymac Kerry returned from lameness and needed the run in the A6 at 10-13. She had a rough ride having led to the 1/4 mark she was crowded at the 3/4 point and finally baulked and checked at the fourth bend! 10/1 shot ‘Kerry’ finished in 5th place clocking 31.19 (31.29 calculated) six lengths behind the Derek Knight trained winner Empowering.

Avit On Elsie was sent off the 6/4 favourite for the A11 at 7-31 but couldn’t land the odds! Things started well as she was with the leaders early on but she faded and was beaten nine lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Julius George. ‘Elsie’ clocked 31.59 (31.69 calculated) in the opener.
