The September 24th ‘Big Night Out’ is taking shape and the first quota of restaurant places is now fully booked – that’s sixty places!

Those that haven’t booked are urged to contact, Norah, Gary or Debbie to book a place. It could be that we will have up to one hundred seats but we can’t guarantee that the restaurant will hold that number without firm bookings.

It’s also hoped that, given our numbers, we will negotiate further discounts or extras for club members on the night.  Also there will be opportunities to present trophies, competitions, a raffle and mad-dog Maunders will tell his joke. Norah and those kennel team members that are not working will also be on hand to give us the inside news on all Norah’s inmates.

Coming soon to this website:

A tribute to Sizzlers Spirit, hurdler of the year and kennel superstar now retired, and footage of Pigalle Star ‘licking the Lollie’ live on Sky. These clips will be added to the  Hall of Fame page.

Wendy’s (Hanover Lady) latest win and the trophy presentation will be added to the Video page.

The interview with the kennel team after ‘Johnny’ Cash got through to the Derby final will be added to the Cloheena Cash page.

Weekend review:

Oscar (Lima Oscar) ran a fair race on Friday, staying on well enough for fourth but beaten barely a length and a half.

Wendy (Hanover Lady) couldn’t recover from losing ground in first bend scrimmaging. By the time she gained a clear run the winner was clear. Our blue, none the worse for her exertions, will have better nights.

Gino (Horse Outside) was yet again slow into stride and didn’t take the first bend too well. He hunted up the front-runners down the back straight, only to run up the backside of the second dog.  Still some way of the pace rounding the turn into the run in, our youngster seemed to have a ‘penny dropping’ moment and really powered on. On the line no more than two short heads off the winner, the black and white was clear soon after the past. A promising run.
