LEXIS STAR led near the line to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Droopys Usual by a head in the Semi-Final of the Coral Sussex Cup & Regency Graded Sweepstake competition at Hove on the 22nd July! Finding ‘trouble’ in running when 5th behind Blakes Kestrel on her latest run the March 19 daughter of Laughil Blake was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A8 at 7-56. Crowded at the 1st and 3rd bends she was well behind but producing a strong late run she got up near the line to beat the George Andreas trained Insane Sandy by a neck! Owned by The Golden Girls Syndicate ‘Lexis Star’ clocked 30.93 (-20) 30.73 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove!
