Longrange Denis Clocks Sensational 29.70
LONGRANGE DENIS LOOKS A REAL STAR FOR THE NORAH MAC RACING CLUB!
A2 WIN ON WEDNESDAY FOLLOWED UP WITH STUNNING A1 WIN SATURDAY!
“TEAM MAC” FIRE HOME A 980/1 HOVE FOUR TIMER!
A brilliant night for the kennel with wins from CELLINI, PRINCESS JETTA and COOLAVANNY KEIRA was capped by the superb run from Racing Club newcomer LONGRANGE DENIS who turned a competitive A1 into a procession!
Saturday 28th June HOVE Report (All Races Going: Normal)
Winners
We have to start with the superb win of LONGRANGE DENIS who followed up his A2 win on Wednesday, where he clocked a very decent 29.98 sec, with an even better performance when taking the feature event on Saturday night winning in a sparkling 29.70 sec! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Denis’ showed good early pace in the A1 at 10-30 and led from the first bend beating the Derek Knight trained Maireds Dandy by four and a quarter lengths! 4/1 shot ‘Denis’ is certainly no ‘menace’ to his happy owners as he has now won three out of his last four races! The December 2011 son of Droopys Kewell has now won six of his 19 career starts and looks a real star for Norah and the Racing Club! Irish wins at Lifford (2) and Drumbo Park have been followed with his three Hove wins for the Club which now takes their total of winners to 95.
It was CELLINI who set the ball rolling with victory in the A4 at 8-51. The January 2011 daughter of Head Bound was quick away and always led when beating the Claude Gardiner runner-up Pockets Jacks by two lengths clocking 30.23 sec on the normal going. Owned by the Norahmacjestic Six the 6/1 outsider was winning for the 7th time at Hove. Cellini is a very consistent performer and really deserves more wins for her obvious ability!
PRINCESS JETTA has been in good form recently and followed up her A7 win last Saturday with victory in the A6 at 9-07 when getting up on the line to beat the Doreen Walsh trained Express Cupid by a short head! ‘Jetta’ was quick away and racing wide on the run-in led near the line clocking 30.72 sec. Her last nine runs have yielded 4 wins and 3 seconds for her delighted owners Lisa and Lee Beauchamp and this win made it 11 career wins for the May 2011 daughter of Ace Hi Rumble. Bermuda based bookmaker Lee will no doubt of had some of the 3/1 about her!
COOLAVANNY KEIRA was well beaten last week when making a return to the track after seasonal rest but showed sufficient improvement to win the A11 at 9-57. The May 2010 daughter of Premier Fantasy was quick away and led to the third bend. ‘Keira’ was crowded at the fourth but battled hard to get back up on the line to beat the Derek Knight trained Baran Kagawa a head! Our 6/1 shot clocked 31.17 sec and was winning her 15th race at Hove for owners Sue Hicks, Dave Staddon, Krystyna Polubinski, Gary Maunders and Floyd Williams. ‘Keira’ also has a Wimbledon win on her card making this her 16th career win!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Millroad Jessy held every chance in the D2 sprint at 7-46 and clocked 16.92 sec when 4th beaten three and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Get On Speedy. River Echo was making his debut and was slow away clocking 17.02 sec in 5th place just under five lengths behind the winner.
Sizzlers Big Boy hasn’t been getting away recently and it was the same story in the A7 at 8-18 as he was slow away and crowded at the first bend. Sizzlers Big Boy clocked 30.99 sec in 4th place six lengths behind the winner Bellinter Rose who is trained by Wayne Wrighting.
Sheffield sales purchase Avit On Beryl was making her Hove debut and although finishing 6th she was not totally disgraced in the A7 at 9-41. She was slow away but clocked 30.98 sec, suggesting better times ahead, when beaten six lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Woodbrook Girl.
A slow break possibly cost Graiguenoe Royal a win in the A7 at 10-13 as he was beaten just over a length at the line! Although slow away he ran well enough clocking 30.64 sec in 4th place behind the Maria Collins trained winner Our Swift Girl.

Barnish Myway had gone well in a trial at Wimbledon on Wednesday but he could not match that run in the 480 Metre H1 Graded Hurdle race at 8-22 on the Wimbledon card Saturday. He was bumped at the start and the first bend clocking 30.18 sec (normal) just over eight lengths behind the ‘Even’ money winner Alittlelesslip who is trained by Bernie Doyle.
