‘Mags’ Goes Close On A Hot Night At Hove!

Saturday 17th June 2017 – HOVE Report
Although we came away empty handed there was plenty of
near misses from our runners on a very warm night at Hove!
BALIBO MAGS went closest to gaining that illusive win! Sent off a 7/2 chance for the A5 at 9-07 the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was quick away and she led to the run-in! Clocking 30.79 (-10) 30.69 calculated ‘Mags’ finished in 2nd place beaten just over a length by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Justice Matters.
ANOTHER ME was a 3/1 chance for the A3 at 7-31 where the February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee held every chance when finishing in 4th place! ‘Monty’ clocked a decent 30.52 (-10) 30.42 calculated when beaten just over two lengths by Maireads Jett who is trained by Derek Knight.
SIZZLERS IVORY was sent off the 2/1 favourite for the A10 at 7-46 where the January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda blasted from the traps and led to the 4th bend! Clocking 31.28 (-10) 31.18 calculated ‘Simba’ finished in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Echo Liz.
Returning after injury and illness AEGEAN FLASH was a 4/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at
8-34 but the August 14 son of Colorful Champ was baulked at the 1st bend! Finishing in 5th place he clocked 17.01 (-5) 16.96 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by Stellars Avenger who is trained by Maria Collins. Making his Hove debut BOOMROOM CHARLIE was sent off an 8/1 shot but the September 14 son of Romeo Recruit made a slow start! Clocking 17.02 (-5) 16.97 calculated ‘Charlie’ finished in 6th place beaten four and a half lengths by the winner.
SIZZLERS HAWK was a 4/1 chance for the D1 Sprint at 9-24 but the July 14 son of Vans Escalade was baulked at the 1st bend! Despite that hold he clocked 16.62 (-5) 16.57 calc when finishing in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by Westmead Julie who is trained by Derek Knight. SPIDERMAN was a 5/1 shot and the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay suffered the same fate as his kennel mate! Baulked at the 1st bend he clocked 16.74 (-5) 16.69 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just over three lengths by the winner.
TIMBERLEE LAD was a 5/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 9-57 where the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene held every chance! Clocking 16.83 (-5) 16.78 calculated ‘Woody’ finished in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Brinkleys Jet.
