(right) was a good winner of a D2 Sprint (16.45 sec.) last Friday and he followed up in style when stepping up in class and distance to win the CORAL.CO.UK MAIDEN (DUPLICATED) Open race at 10-26. The September 2013 son of Droopys Woods out of the dam Droopys Start had a little set-back earlier in the year but he was winning for the 3rd time for the Norah Mac Racing Club who now move on to the 122 winner mark with this success. Sent off a 6/1 chance ‘Rolo’ showed his strength when baulked at the first bend and showing good pace he led at the third getting a lovely run through on the rails he ran on well to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Baran Oklahoma by three lengths clocking 30.48 (Normal). The Seamus Cahill trained View Jasper finished 3rd.

Sizzlers Eagle ran a brave race in defeat last night when going close to winning the CORAL JUNE 475 – FINAL! Showing good early pace he led from the second bend to the fourth and had them well stretched out but Loughteen Pedro trained by Claude Gardiner just stayed on the better of the pair to get the advantage close to home! The Dave and Joy Cook owned Sizzlers Eagle was beaten just over a length in 2nd place clocking 27.81 (Normal). Home Raider trained by Dean Childs finished in 3rd place.

There were good performances from Sizzlerscheyenne and Kizi, in the CORAL JUNE SPRINT Open race – HEAT 1, who both qualified for next weeks Final! Sizzlerscheyenne held every chance when finishing in 2nd place clocking 16.52 (Normal) and was beaten just over two lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Swift Watson. Sent off the 20/1 outsider Kizi ran his best race for some time when grabbing 3rd place! He was very quick away and held every chance on the outside and clocked 16.53 (Normal) when beaten two and a half lengths by the winner. Glenvale Stevie made a slow start and clocked 16.65 (Normal) back in 5th place and was beaten four lengths by the winner.

Both our runners in the CORAL.CO.UK MAIDEN 475 Open race were slow away! At this level it is difficult to recover but Hollands Bullet ran on well to take 3rd place clocking 28.12 (Normal) when beaten three and a half lengths by the Matt Dartnall trained winner Humphreys Pride. From his slow break Ballyneety Mike was crowded on the run-up and at the first bend! He was also bumped at the second bend and finished back in 5th place clocking 28.47 (Normal) when beaten just under eight lengths by the winner. The Jason Heath trained Swift Botha was 2nd!

Watch Matt – Runs in the D2 Sprint!
Watch Matt won a D2 Sprint at the end of April but picked up an injury and has been off the track for a month since! He trialed well on Monday and returns for the D2 Sprint at 2-08. Kennel mate Fanore Breeze has been withdrawn from this race and is a non-runner!
Robeen Sky has the ability to be winning soon for the ‘Boro Boys On Tour’ syndicate and he just needs a little bit of luck in running in the A7 at 2-27.
Sizzlers Big Boy is up in grade for a good win last Friday but should still have every chance in the A8 at 2-47.
Garrison Madrid returns from seasonal rest and runs in the D2 Sprint at 5-07.
Abbeys Zenyatta has won 3 of her last 5 races! The early paced April 13 daughter of Droopys Kewell is up in grade for her latest win last Saturday and runs in the A7 at 5-22.
