WATCH MATT AND SPORTING TRACEY “WIN” FOR A SATURDAY HOVE DOUBLE!

Saturday 15th March HOVE Report     Going:  Normal  (All Races)

Winners

Our two runners dominated the betting in the A6 at 8-51 at Hove on Saturday night. Swift Debbie was sent off the 9/4 favourite but it was the Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory owned WATCH MATT (5/2 second fav.) who came out on top! The July 2010 son of Kinloch Brae showed early pace and led at the first bend. Despite being crowded at the third bend he held on to beat the Wendy Short trained All Excuses by a Short Head! Watch Matt clocked 30.60 when winning his sixth race at Hove. He also has seven Hall Green wins on his card! Swift Debbie was far from disgraced back in 3rd place. Quick away she was crowded at the 3/4 mark and clocked 30.65 when beaten less than a length at the line!

SPORTING TRACEY and Collinstown View have met several times this year and, its hard to split the two on form but, it was Sporting Tracey’s night on Saturday as she won the A3 at 10-30 by over two lengths! The Nov 2010 daughter of Blackstone Gene led at the second bend and clocked 30.35 when winning her 7th Hove race for owner Mr K. Hazeltine. The 7/2 shot also has wins at Galway and Henlow on her card! Collinstown View has won twice this year but had to settle for the runners-up spot this time. He was sent off the 7/4 favourite but was baulked at the first bend after a good break. He ran on well for 2nd place clocking 30.53

How Our Other Runners Fared

Sizzlers Big Boy weighs in at just under 38 kilos but he took a real battering in the A8 at 7-46. He was baulked at the first bend, crowded at 1/4, baulked at half way and baulked again at the third bend! He clocked 31.18 back in 5th place and to his credit was only 5 lengths behind the Claude Gardiner winner Mistaken For You.

Ballymac Dainty will have to wait for her 17th career win after finding trouble in the A4 at 8-18 last night. She was crowded at the 1/4 mark and baulked at the fourth bend and clocked 30.94 in 6th place when beaten six lengths by the Paul Garland trained Solid Fairy.

Ballymac Kerry held every chance in the A5 at 9-24 and clocked 30.59 when she was beaten only two lengths, by Claude Gardiners Cabra Bolt, despite finishing in 5th place!

Avite Becky was having her first race of the year and would have needed it. Sent off the 10/1 outsider for the A7 at 9-41 she was crowded at the first bend and clocked 31.16 in 5th place six lengths behind the Ken Tester trained winner Recycle Ball.

SEVEN RUNNERS ON THE SUNDAY LUNCH-TIME HOVE CARD

Sunday 16th March HOVE Runners

Princess Jetta was a beaten favourite last time and will be looking for compensation in the A7 at 11-11.

The Racing Clubs Hanover Lady can be forgiven her last run as she was very badly bumped. Regaining her fitness with each run she has an ideal draw in the D1 at 11-28. Kennel mate Philly Eagle was a winner last time out and is in the line up!

Judicial Babe has finished close up in her last three races and should again go well in the A9 at 11-42.

Westmead Louisa has been well beaten in her last three runs but does have winning form in this grade. Her connections will be looking for an improved showing in the A10 at 11-57.

Swift Messi is in great form this year and a winner on his last run! He lines up in the A8 at 12-41 and will be looking for an 18th career win!

The Racing Club is double handed at the meeting as Droopys Leonard lines up for the A4 at 1-28 and he is looking for a 19th career win!
