Some very disappointing news to begin with.  Black Ace Mac (Rumble) suffered an hairline fracture to her hock in her trial last week (despite winning it!). This means Rumble will be out for several months – a rough guess being three or four months.

On a more optimistic note both Horse Outside (Gino) and Fleetwood Mac (Woody) are expected to trial Wednesday (18th). Gino is in good heart at the kennels and takes quite a pull on the lead when out walking. Given his long lay-off it would be unwise to have too high expectations of his trial time but hopefully it will be good enough to get him back ‘on the card.’

Woody trialled last Wednesday. He suffered crowding during the event but posted a reasonable time. Norah is hoping he will improve on that this week. If all goes smoothly he’ll be ready to race too.

It’s feasible, therefore, that we could, finally, have runners in the next week or two.
