Mega-week televised & thru to 16/9

Norah’s busy learning her lines in readiness for her belated inaugural appearance on Racing Post Greyhound TV on Thursday. Our ‘shrinking violet’ would love to hear questions and comments from old friends and new via e-mail and twitter on the night. E-mails can be sent pre-show and during the evening.
The e-mail address is on the screen throughout the show. It’s also available on the internet via the Racing Post website – go to the Greyhound header on the home page and click the dropdown for RP Greyhound TV.
The show, itself, can be seen through this method for those preferring laptop viewing. On regular TV it’s channel 212 on Sky.
On Friday more high profile action for the kennel with top class pup Ballymac Marine well fancied in the £8,000 Romford Puppy Cup, again on RPGTV. All the very best to greyhound and human connections alike. As Norah reported in Sunday’s Racing Post feature following the semi-finals, Debbie and Mick are fully deserving of this exceptional prospect given their massive kennel support and mixed fortunes of late.
Sunday has Kizi through to a Category Three final at Sittingbourne, the white and black sprinter is likely to have a clutch of kennelmates joining him on the trip to Central Park for some of the supporting Opens.
As well as retaining top spot at graded level with the highest wins to runs ratio at home track, Hove (http://thegta.co.uk/2013_graded_trainer_stats.php?track=Hove&runners=1&month=), the kennel is now climbing the National Open Race standings, nudging the top twenty with a current twenty fifth placing.
For owners, newbies and old hands alike, there’ll never be a better time to join a kennel steeped in experience and history that can be counted upon for second to none welfare, total integrity and ongoing success at all levels of competition.
Preview
Club action kicks off this week with Gilbert (Ferdia Oscar) in the line-up for a D1 (Sprint) on Wednesday at 4.47pm. Sporting a black jacket, Gilbert, has some chance if getting a level break in what is a typically tight affair.
The kennel is very well represented numerically for the RPGTV mixed card on Thursday. Norah will be giving her views on the runners on the night so not much to add here. Horse Outside (trap one, 7.31pm, A4) and Droopys Leonard (trap four, 9.56, maiden sprint) represent the club.
For what it’s worth this ‘judge’ goes nap on Droopys Halo on the night, dropped in grade to A6 in the 7.46pm. Owned by great supporters of the kennel, this Jan ’12 pup will make up into a very decent staying type in due course. Though yet to get off the mark in ten starts, this is her best chance to date and, notwithstanding traffic problems coming from well off the pace, rates a sound bet at around 5-2.
Take note that Saturday is all-sponsored Owners Trophy night at Hove, including race titles celebrating the recent successes of kennel stars Westmead Louisa, Ballymac Arron and Coolscart Hawk.
Dessie (Droopys Design) is on the comeback trial with a shot at the D1 at 9.24pm on Saturday’s card. Drawn in four, and in with two kennel companions, this is probably a step back toward going over the standard.
