MINEOLA LION completed a quick ‘double’ back in June with two A1 wins over the Belinda Green trained Antigua Billy and the Claude Gardiner trained Woodmancote Jess. Well beaten by Bonjour Bullet in a Hove Open on his latest run the April 18 son of Laughil Blake was sent off a 7/1 chance for the A1 at 6-28. Showing good early pace he led at the 2nd bend and running on well beat the Jamie Kingsley trained Baran Jupiter by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Steve Barton, Lesley Stocker,  Norah McEllistrim & Mike Owens ‘Mineola Lion’ clocked 30.32 (-50) 29.82 calculated when winning for the 12th time at Hove!
