KENNEL GO CLOSE WITH A COUPLE  –  BUT IT’S A BLANK DAY AT HOVE!

Friday 14th March HOVE Report

The Racing Clubs Ferdia Oscar came closest to winning for the kennel when he was beaten a Short Head in the A5 at 1-12 at Hove today. He disputed the lead all the way and led off the last bend before going down to the Claude Gardiner trained Parkwest Parker. Ferdia Oscar clocked 30.80 (-20) 30.60 calculated in 2nd place.

Athlacca Olympic doesn’t know how to run a bad race and again put in a top class effort in the A2 at 1-27. Always in the first two he challenged from the third bend and was beaten 3/4 of a length at the line by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Cabela Holly. Athlacca Olympic clocked 30.45 (-20) 30.25 calculated in 2nd place.

Cause Of Justice is also racing at a high level and he again put in another sound effort despite finishing in 4th place in the A2 at 2-02. He was only two and a half lengths behind the Derek Knight trained winner Peggys Cove who clocked the fastest time of the day! Cause of Justice clocked 30.54 (-20) 30.34 calculated.

The Racing Clubs Classy Molly needed a clear run in the A7 at 2-17 but she didn’t get it! Crowded at half way and baulked at the third bend she was well beaten back in 4th place clocking 31.28 (-20) 31-08 calculated.

Pretty In Blue was not beaten far in the A9 at 12-58 despite being crowded on the run-up. She was three lengths adrift of the Paul Garland trained winner Dainty Sky at the line. Pretty In Blue clocked 31.17 (-20) 30.97 calculated in 4th place.

Droopys Margaret and Graiguenoe Royal were sent off 7/2 co-favourites of four in the A5 at 12-42. But our two runners filled the last two places at the finish after they were both crowded at the first bend! Droopys Margaret clocked 30.99 (-20) 30.79 calculated in 5th place three lengths behind the winner. While Graiguenoe Royal was 6th clocking 31.03 (-20) 30.83 calculated a further half length back!

Glenvale Paddy never got involved in the A8 at 11-28 after he was crowded at the first bend and then baulked at the fourth bend. ‘Paddy’ was well beaten in 6th place clocking 31.37 (-10) 31.27 calculated.

EIGHT RUNNERS OUT ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT HOVE

Saturday 15th March HOVE Runners

Sizzlers Big Boy had a troubled run on Wednesday but was beaten less than two lengths. Could go well with a clear run in the A9 at 7-31.

Ballymac Dainty will be looking for her 17th career win when she lines up in the A4 at 8-18.

Watch Matt and Swift Debbie were both beaten favourites when they each finished 2nd on their latest runs! Should both go well in the A6 at 8-51.

Ballymac Kerry has been sent off a big ‘odds’ in her last two runs where she finished in rear. She will be looking for a better performance in the A5 at 9-24.

Its her first run of the year and Avite Becky may well need the run in the A7 at 9-41.

Collinstown View and Sporting Tracey are both running well and each capable of taking a hand in the finish of the A3 at 10-30.
