JUST THE TWO 2nd PLACES ON AN UNUSUAL “BLANK” DAY FOR TEAM MAC!

Friday 28th March HOVE Report

No wins! Just the two 2nd places and two 3rd places! They were the closest we came to glory today. However there were some promising runs for the future. Avit On Elsie, a July 12 pup, clocked her fastest time in the A11 at 12-27. ‘Elsie’ showed early pace and led to near the line only to be beaten 3/4 of a length by the Maria Collins trained Rumble Waterboy. ‘Elsie’ clocked 31.27 on the Normal going.

Cause Of Justice ran another very good race in the A3 at 1-44. The youngster was beaten two short heads and a head finishing in third place clocking a smart 30.25 on the Normal going. Cause Of Justice was slow away but ran on strongly behind the Jason Heath winner Riverside Tirana.

Swift Messi does not know how to run a bad race and he was again involved in the finish when 2nd in the A7 at 11-11. After being baulked at the first bend he disputed the lead throughout and clocked 30.97 (-10) 30.87 calculated when beaten a length by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Chief. Kennel mate Classy Molly was crowded on the run up and the run in and clocked 31.05 (-10) 30.95 calculated in 4th place just two lengths behind the winner!

Droopys Bertha always finishes strongly and after being crowded at the first bend in the A6 at 1-58 she ran on well to be 3rd behind the Claude Gardiner trained winner Droopys Hooper. Droopys Bertha was beaten a length and a half and clocked 30.56 on the Normal going.

Sporting Tracey finished in 5th place in the A2 at 11-57 and she was only beaten just over two lengths! Sporting Tracey held every chance and clocked 30.33 (-10) 30.23 behind the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Westmead Mustang.

Princess Jetta was sent off the 2/1 favourite for the D1 sprint at 12-42. She held every chance but was beaten over three lengths by the Paul Garland trained winner Kyzer Prince. ‘Jetta’ finished in 4th place and clocked 16.92 on the Normal going.

Glenvale Paddy was beaten almost six lengths in the A9 at 1-12 and clocked 31.07 on the Normal going when finishing 4th behind the Jason Heath trained winner On A Cloud.

Cellini totally missed her break in the A4 at 1-27 today and with that it was race over! She clocked 31.02 on the Normal going nine lengths behind the Derek Knight trained winner Girvan Blue.
