Review

The Competition dogs were out of luck in their respective semis last week so a bit disappointing for the kennel.

That said, Norah has some promising new recruits in the kennel so keep an eye open for some future stars.

Well done to connections of Sittingbourne Open winner, Viscount Rambler who made a winning UK debut in landing the maiden.

Well done too, Lenny (Droopys Leonard) who stormed home last week, looking a rejuvenated hound. Great stuff.

Also good to report that Molly (Classy Molly) ran well for a long well on her track return on Saturday night.

Norah reports Leah (Memories Leah) has a sore shoulder and needs several sessions of physio so will not be back on track for the best part of a couple of months.  Wendy and Oscar have trials on Monday (14th), following their rest. Trial results are on twitter, courtesy Tim Rowell.

A reminder that Saturday’s card is sponsored by the Brighton Owners Association and Floppy Pete and Baby Sky, from our kennel, are receiving three in a row trophies.

Molly (Classy Molly) returns to the fray on Wednesday inthe A9 at 4.47pm. Our September ’11 whelp will strip fitter for her decent run when third at the weekend.  Sporting the black jacket, the race frame suggests she may well get a lead into the bend and she looks a fair bet for each-way claims as a minimum.

Another excellent mixed card at Hove for RPGTV on Thursday.  The club has Gilbert (Ferdia Oscar) taking a poke at the Standard Maiden at 940pm. Our white and black has yet to break the ice for the club and tonight may not be the night!  That said it’s an interesting heat with a number of inexperienced, though pacey, novices in the line up.

Gilbert, boxed in five, could be worth a little each way wager at the expected working man’s price. This on the theory that he might be able to benefit from a prominent pitch, given his age and experience, and any trouble behind from hounds most of whom are still learning their trade.

A top class card at Kent’s Big Night Out track, Central Park, Sittingbourne on Thursday, featuring the Kent Derby and Grand National. The kennel have runners in some of the supporting events; Viscount Rambler, Droopys Halo and Kizi – all races live in betting shops.

Back to Nevill Road and on Friday Horse Outside faces some stiff opposition in his A4, the 1.44pm.  He’s wearing blue from two. Hopefully he will be close enough to mount some sort of challenge in the latter stages in what looks a very competitive affair for the grade.

Saturday’s Brighton Owners’ All-sponsored card sees Lenny (Droopys Leonard) taking a cut at the ‘Baby Sky’ Sprint (D1) at 7.46pm. Boxed in six but against some pacey types, it’ll all be to play for.
