ELEVEN RUNNERS ON THE HOVE FRIDAY AFTERNOON CARD!

MARYS BOY was badly baulked at the first bend and clocked 17.26 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under six lengths by Isaacs Tiger in a D3 Sprint on the 20th May. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay ran much better on his latest outing and held every chance clocking 16.78 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just under three length by Anto Markos Rose. He runs in the D3 Sprint at 2-27.

FLACKWELL SPIRIT led to the run-in and clocked 30.85 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just 1/2 a length by Hop Out Biscotti in A10 grade on the 29th May. The June 14 son of Taylors Sky was sent off 6/4 favourite on his latest start but he could only manage 3rd place! Clocking 31.32 (Normal) he was beaten just over two lengths by his kennel mate Kilcommon and lines up for the A10 at 2-47.

CAUSEILOVEYOU was made 7/4 favourite when given a drop in grade for an A7 on the 28th May. Clocking 30.98 (Normal) he finished 3rd beaten just under three lengths by Ardbeg Bella. A 3/1 chance for an A7 last Saturday night the July 12 son of College Causeway was always behind! He clocked 31.13 calculated when finishing in 4th place and now runs in the A7 at 3-07.

LISTRY ACE was sent off 2/1 favourite for a D2 Sprint on the 28th May but was baulked at the first two bends and clocked 17.07 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just over five lengths by Be Of The Bang. The October 12 daughter of Kinloch Brae who is owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club again found ‘trouble’ in running in a D2 Sprint last Saturday. Clocking 17.23 calculated ‘Grace’ finished in 5th place beaten just over seven lengths by Swift Banzai and she lines up for the D2 Sprint at 3-28.

BARNISH PETER led from the third bend to the run-in clocking 30.55 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten a length and a half by Liosgarbh Andy in A4 grade on the 19th May. The February 12 son of Top Honcho was very badly bumped at the first bend on his latest run and finished a well beaten 5th! Clocking 31.27 calculated he was beaten almost twelve lengths by Janes Escalade and will be looking to improve on that effort in the A4 at 3-48.

SIZZLERS APOLLO was baulked at the first bend and clocked 16.67 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten four lengths by Maui Vanquish in a D1 Sprint on the 11th May. The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari was a 5/2 chance for a D1 Sprint on the 22nd May and despite suffering crowding near the line he clocked 16.49 calculated when finishing 2nd just a length behind kennel mate Cashontherun. That was a fair effort and he should have every chance in the D1 Sprint at 4-27.

DROOPYS CYRIC

DROOPYS CYRIC clocked 30.51 calculated when beating Aero Velocity by three lengths in a 3-dog Trial over 515 metres on the 28th May. The November 14 son of Tullymurry Act owned by the Norah Mac Racing Cyric syndicate stepped up in trip for an A6 last Saturday night where the young pup was sent off 5/2 favourite. He suffered crowding after making a slow start and clocked 30.91 calculated finishing in 6th place he was beaten just one and a half lengths by Global Chief. He now lines up in the (A6) Owners Bonus Series – Heat 1 at 4-47 where a first two finish would see him qualify for the Final on Thursday 16th June!

CELLINI completed a recent ‘hat-trick’ of wins! A 7/2 chance to complete the ‘four-timer’ she sadly suffered crowding and finished 2nd clocking 30.78 calculated when beaten a length and a half by Ruthless Warrior in A6 grade on the 22nd May. The January 11 daughter of Head Bound ran another good race on her latest outing where she led from the second bend to the 3/4 mark! Clocking 30.98 calculated she finished 3rd beaten just a length by Swift Janna  and runs in the (A6) Owners Bonus Series – Heat 2 at 5-07 where a first two finish would see her qualify for the Final on Thursday 16th June!

ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN

ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN clocked 31.43 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten over twelve lengths by Lilli Mart in A5 grade on the 27th May. ‘Rocky’ had not been at his best recently but the September 13 son of Westmead Hawk benefited from a drop in grade for an A6 last Saturday where he ran on well clocking 30.79 calculated when 2nd beaten a ‘short-head’ by Global Chief. He lines up in the (A6) Owners Bonus Series – Heat 3 at 5-22 where a first two finish would see him qualify for the Final on Thursday 16th June!

DATA OLLY

DATA OLLY clocked 29.23 (Normal) when finishing 2nd beaten three lengths by kennel mate Hyness Mill in a 3-dog Trial over 480 metres at Wimbledon on the 1st June. The June 13 son of Head Bound suffered crowding throughout in an A5 last Saturday and did well to run on late and grab 3rd place! Clocking 31.09 calculated he was beaten almost eight lengths by Blue Hercules and ‘Olly’ will be hoping for a ‘safer’ run in the A5 at 5-56.

AVIT ON MAVIS led at the fourth bend and kept on well clocking 31.55 calculated when opening her Hove account in A11 grade on the 14th May beating Killeacle Faith by a length and a half! The July 13 daughter of Uncle Willie was a 7/2 chance for an A11 on the 27th May but was slow away and clocked 31.54 (Normal) when finishing 3rd beaten just under two lengths by Slaheny Madam. ‘Mavis’ runs in the A11 at 6-11.

DROOPYS TOMFORD had been sidelined since finishing 5th to Piercestown Jane in A3 grade at Hove on the 4th March! The September 13 son of Droopys Woods owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club returned to race action in an A3 on the 26th May. Despite making a slow start he made a very pleasing comeback when running on well to finish 2nd to Sporting Gift. ‘Rolo’ was making his first visit to Romford last Friday for HEAT 1 of the ROMFORD FRIDAY NIGHT 500 MAIDEN STAYERS Competition! Stepping up to 575 metres for the first time ‘Rolo’ ran a blinder! The Hove ‘railer’ was running from trap 5 for the first time but he made his way across to the rails nicely and ran on well clocking 36.19 (Normal) to finish 2nd beaten just over a length by the Ernie Gaskin trained winner Knockboy Wing. It was a promising run by Droopys Tomford and the trap 2 draw should be to his liking!

INDEPENDENT JACK clocked 16.75 (Normal) when beating Droopys Tomford a length and a half in a 285 metre Sprint Trial on the 8th May and he made a pleasing return after injury in a D1 Sprint on the 14th May. The August 13 son of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club finished in 4th place after making a slow start and clocked 16.69 calculated when beaten just over a length by Somoud. He stepped up to Open company for a Hove Sprint on the 26th May but found trouble in running and clocked 16.95 (Normal) when finishing 6th beaten six and a half lengths by Ardbeg Holly. ‘Jack’ makes his first visit to Romford for the CORAL HOME OF THE PRICE BOMB STANDARD at 10-40 and he should appreciate the 400 metres trip!
