SIZZLERS PUMA clocked 29.13 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten four lengths by the Robert Pattinson trained winner Pass To Go in a Derby Trial Stakes on the 21st April. The December 12 son of Skywalker Puma owned by Dave and Joy Cook showed good early pace and kept on well clocking 28.91 calculated when 3rd beaten just 3/4 of a length by the Paul Young trained winner Droopys Admire on the 28th April. Connections knew the 33/1 outsider had to produce a big run to qualify from a tricky Heat. The ‘Puma’ didn’t let them down! He broke well but was bumped at the first bend. Going head to head with the well fancied Fire Height Tosh down the back straight Sizzlers Puma kept on well to take 3rd place! Clocking 28.92 (Normal) he was beaten just under five lengths by the Len Ponder owned, Pat Buckley trained, winner Lenson Sanchez.

DRAGON OVERLORD clocked 29.17 calculated when finishing 3rd to the Richard Yeates trained Ballycannon Bob in a Derby Trial Stakes on the 7th April. The July 14 son of Tullymurry Act owned by Mr J. A. Yelding clocked 29.08 (Normal) when again 3rd to his old rival Ballycannon Bob on the 21st April. Dragon Overlord clocked 28.90 calculated when 3rd beaten just over six lengths by the Paul Marchant trained Ebony Flyer on the 28th April. The youngster who ‘found’ time in all three Trial Stakes runs needed a first three finish in Heat 34 to qualify for Round Two! In last place going into the back straight he produced a strong late run to grab 3rd place right on the line! Clocking 28.73 calculated he was beaten just over three lengths by the Mark Wallis trained Domino Storm.

BADMOONRISING just loves it at Wimbledon and he comes alive at this time of the year! A winner of two Derby Trial Stake Races followed by a First Round Derby Heat win in 2015 he progressed to the 2nd Round of this years Derby in fine style! The August 12 son of Ace Hi Rumble owned by Mick McCrory & Debbie Williams clocked 29.07 calculated when beating Castledale Magic four lengths in a 2-dog Trial over 480 metres at Wimbledon last Saturday but produced his best form to qualify from a tricky Heat 13. Despite a bump at the start the 16/1 outsider got a good run round the first two bends and showing good back straight pace he kept on well clocking a decent 28.66 (Normal) when 2nd beaten a length and a half by the Maria Collins trained winner My Real Mutley.
