WINNER

AFTER SHOCK  –  a 6th Hove win for Annie!

AFTER SHOCK soon led and kept on well when beating kennel mate Balibo Ruby by 1/2 a length in a D3 Sprint back in May! But the April 15 daughter of Superior Product has recently been stepped up in trip! Well beaten by Fizzypop Jet last Tuesday ‘Annie’ was sent of the 6/1 outsider for the A9 at 2-12. Despite suffering crowding she led at the 1st bend and clear at the 2nd she ran on well to beat the Doreen Walsh trained Droopys Beds by just over five lengths! Owned by Julie Hillier, Gaynor Renwick and Dave Staddon  ‘After Shock’ clocked 31.60 (-30) 31.30 calculated when winning her 6th race at Hove! Kennel mate CLOMANTAGH HOLLY was a 5/1 chance but she was crowded on the run up and bumped at the 1st bend! Finishing in 3rd place ‘Holly’ clocked 32.48 (-30) 32.18 calculated when beaten just under six lengths by the winner.

How Our Other Runners Fared

A 7/2 chance SUMMERVILLE KATE ran well to finish 2nd in the A7 at 2-52. ‘Summer’ was crowded on the run up but she kept on well to challenge on the run in and clocking 31.19 (-30) 30.89 calculated was beaten two and a half lengths by Liosgarbh Andy.

SISTERS FRIEND was a 7/1 shot for the A6 at 4-48 but did not manage to find a clear run. Crowded at the 2nd and 3rd bends he clocked 31.50 (-20) 31.30 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten five lengths by Im Justa Kid.

SIZZLERS GUNBOAT was a 5/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 6-02 but after suffering crowding at the 1st bend he finished in 4th place clocking 17.12 (-10) 17.02 calculated when beaten two and a half lengths by Killeacle Rizzo.
