“PRINCESS JETTA” BOLTS IN AND “WENDY” IS THERE FOR THE FORECAST!

With Avit On Elsie withdrawn from the A11 at 12-12 we only had the five runners on todays Hove morning card but we still came up with a winner thanks to Princess Jetta! The Racing Clubs Hanover Lady followed her kennel mate home in the D2 sprint for a nice £32 forecast!

PRINCESS JETTA had gone eleven races without success but bounced back to form in the D2 Sprint at 11-11. The May 2011 daughter of Ace Hi Rumble took full advantage of the drop in grade and beat her kennel mate Hanover Lady by a length and a half! Her enthusiastic Bermudan based owners Lisa and Lee Beauchamp were delighted with this 8th career win (all at Hove) bringing to an end that losing run! “Jetta” was very quick away and racing middle to wide always led clocking 16.79 (-15) 16.64 calculated over the 285 metres. The Norah Mac Racing Clubs Hanover Lady is always a threat in these sprints and she too was helped by the drop into D2 grade. “Wendy” railed well and held every chance clocking 16.90 (-15) 16.75 calculated in the runners-up spot.

How Our Other Runners Fared 

We also had two runners in the A7 at 12-27 but we couldn’t manage to find the winner there! Coolscart Hawk did best of our pair finishing in 3rd place clocking 30.78 (normal) just under two lengths behind the Jason Heath trained winner Fivestar Vixen. The ‘Hawk’ might have got a little closer with a clearer run as he was crowded on the run up and at the second bend. Judicial Babe has been in good form and was a winner on her latest run but she had no chance today when having a troubled run. She was crowded at the second bend and checked wide and baulked at the fourth bend clocking 31.04 (normal) five lengths behind the winner in 6th place.

The Racing Clubs Droopys Leonard was sent off the 5/2 Co Favourite of three for the A5 at 12-58 but he was slow away and crowded at the first bend. To his credit he was only beaten three lengths by the Wendy Short trained winner All Excuses clocking 30.89 (normal) in 6th place.
