INTAYACYNTHIA PROVES A WINNER FOR OWNERS AND GREYHOUND WELFARE!

Norah McEllistrim is passionate when it comes to Greyhound Welfare and found another opportunity to raise funds for this worthy cause at her Summer Social at Hove last September. Norah raffled three quarter shares and auctioned the fourth in an A4 rated bitch named Intayacynthia. Andy Emms, Silvie Tubbritt and Ray Wheeler won a share while long time owner Trevor Cooper bought the final auction share! Greyhound Welfare benefited by around £500. Intayacynthia only ran once for her new owners before going in season! But she’s back and proves a winner again!

Sunday 13th April HOVE Report

Winners

INTAYACYNTHIA was beaten just over a length last week and confirmed that form with a win in the A6 at 11-11 at Hove on Sunday. The October 2010 daughter of Kryptonite dead-heated for first place with the Claude Gardiner trained Other Bishop. Owned by Trevor Cooper,  Andy Emms,  Silvie Tubbritt and Ray Wheeler she was quick away crowded and led at the first bend clocking 31.20 (-50) 30.70 calculated for her second win at Hove. Intayacynthia has a win at Drumbo Park on her Irish card and is only lightly raced and should go on from this! Kennel mate Coolscart Hawk finished 6th in this race but was only beaten just over 2 lengths! The ‘Hawk’ was crowded on the run-up and baulked at the second and third bends and clocked 31.39 (-50) 30.89 calculated.

JUDICIAL BABE won the A7 at 11-28 and has now enjoyed four wins this year! The February 2011 daughter of Hondo Black was quick away and racing wide led all the way clocking 31.10 (-50) 30.60 calculated. Owned by the Burhill Buzy Bees  (Gemma, Norah and Tim) she beat the Claude Gardiner trained Riverside Kitty by more than two lengths! Judicial Babe has now won fourteen races in her career – all at Hove!

How Our Other Runner Fared

Droopys Margaret has come back to form in recent races and continued in good shape when runner up to Derek Knights Questhouse Rocky in the A5 at 12-27. Although she was beaten over four lengths she held every chance and clocked 31.04 (-50) 30.54 calculated in 2nd place.

Athlacca Olympic never has things made easy for him and when he was crowded on the run-up and third bend and then baulked at the 1/4 mark his task was made impossible today and he did well to be only four lengths down at the line. Athlacca Olympic clocked 30.95 (-50) 30.45 finishing 6th to the Derek Knight trained Peggys Cove.

There was another dead-heat today in the A6 at 12-58 but sadly this time our runners were not involved. Swift Debbie was crowded at the third bend and finished 5th, clocking 31.33 (-50) 30.83 calculated, just over two lengths behind dead-heaters All Excuses (Wendy Short) and Guinness Ranger (Seamus Cahill). Droopys Bertha fared one place better in 4th position after being crowded at the first bend and she clocked 31.24 (-50) 30.74 calculated just over one length behind the winners!

Although he was very slow away in the A9 at 1-28 Glenvale Paddy still managed to finish 2nd all but seven lengths behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Sharons Merty. ‘Paddy’ clocked 31.44 (-30) 31.14 calculated.
