WINNER

REDSTAR POPPY  –  her 8th Win at Hove!

REDSTAR POPPY has had her problems since completing a Hove ‘double’ in late December / early January! Off the track throughout March and April the February 14 daughter of Kinloch Brae had not enjoyed much luck in four comeback runs! She was 4th beaten six and a half lengths by Rogue Hurricane on the 7th June and was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A5 at 12-12 today. She returned to winning ways when running on well to lead on the run-in and beat the Seamus Cahill trained Guinness Super by a head! Owned by The Ray Churchouse Syndicate Redstar Poppy clocked 30.81 (-20) 30.61 calculated when winning her 8th race at Hove

How Our Other Runners Fared

FRONT STEP got up late to beat Prokofiev by a head on the 9th June and the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was put up in grade for the A8 at 11-11. A 3/1 chance she found ‘trouble’ in running after making a slow start and clocking 31.20 (-10) 31.10 calculated she finished in 6th place beaten just under five lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Tyrur Celina.

DROOPYS RIVES was a 4/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 12-41 where the July 13 son of Westmead Hawk held every chance when finishing 3rd behind the Maria Collins trained winner Steeple Rd Jason. Clocking 17.17 (-10) 17.07 calculated ‘River’ was beaten three and a half lengths by the winner.

DROOPYS CYRIC had run well in his two races since returning from injury and he was a 3/1 chance for the A5 at 1-12. In a crowded race the November 14 son of Tullymurry Act owned by the Norah Mac Racing Cyric syndicate was forced wide at the 1st bend after making a sluggish start! Never able to make a challenge in a slow run race he clocked 31.42 (-20) 31.22 calculated when 4th beaten just under five lengths by Garryglass Zara  who is trained by Maria Collins.
