REDSTAR POPPY

REDSTAR POPPY won her first two races at Hove beating Planet Claire by just over four lengths in D3 grade on the 18th June and Laughteen Matt just over a length in D2 grade on the 24th June! The February 14 daughter of Kinlock Brae finished 4th to Guinness Sun in D1 grade on the 9th July but she picked up an injury when finishing 4th beaten two and a half lengths by Roses Risk in a D2 Sprint on the 16th July. ‘Poppy’ clocked 16.78 calc. in a Solo Trial over 285 metres at Hove on the 19th September and she returned from lameness to run in the D2 Sprint at 8-34. A 9/4 chance she showed good early pace and led all the way when beating the Seamus Cahill trained Ballymac Roz by 3/4 of a length! Owned by The Ray Churchouse Syndicate ‘Poppy’ clocked 16.87 (-10) 16.77 calculated when winning her 3rd race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

ANOTHER ME showed good early pace and led at the first bend when holding on to beat Sporting Falcao by a short-head in A3 grade on the 17th September! The February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee clocked 30.24 (Normal) when winning his 9th race at Hove and stepped up to Open company for Heat 1 of the HOVE THURSDAY NIGHT 500 – MAIDEN 475 competition on the 22nd September needing a first three finish to make the Final! Sadly he found ‘trouble’ in running and finished in 4th place clocking 28.87 (Normal) when beaten over eleven lengths by Ballinakil Biddy. Up in grade for the A2 at 7-46 ‘Monty’ was sent off a 4/1 chance. Despite suffering crowding at the first bend he to the run-in but was beaten in a very tight finish! Clocking a decent 30.21 ( -20) 30.01 calculated he finished in 4th place beaten just 3/4 of a length by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Four.

TIMBERLEE LASS was slow away and suffered crowding at the fourth bend and clocked 31.67 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just over five lengths by Axil Tashadelek in A10 grade on the 21st September. The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene made a quick return in an A10 last Saturday but she found ‘trouble’ in running! Baulked at the first bend and crowded at the second she clocked 31.35 calculated when finishing 5th beaten over seven lengths by Dower Tip. Given a drop in grade for the A11 at 8-51 she was a 3/1 chance but she again found trouble! Badly baulked at the first bend in a nasty incident where Leamaneigh Hawk was a faller Timberlee Lass clocked 32.40 (-20) 32.20 calculated when finishing in 5th place over fifteen lengths behind the Jason Heath trained winner Ellaha Diamond.

SIZZLERS HAWK had won 4 races at Limerick before joining the Norah Mac team. The July 14 son of Vans Escalade clocked 30.73 calculated when finishing 2nd to Haliska Rubra in a 3-dog Trial at Hove on the 17th September and he bettered that effort clocking 30.41 calculated when beating Live It Long by almost seven lengths in a 3-dog Trial on the 22nd September. A 5/1 chance on his Hove debut in the A2 at 9-41 he was slow away and clocking 30.88 (-20) 30.68 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten just under nine lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Moon.

FRONT STEP was slow away and clocked 30.98 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten three and a half lengths by Snowy Drifter in A6 grade on the 23rd September. The January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was given a drop in grade for an A7 on Wednesday but was baulked at the first bend and she clocked 30.94 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under four lengths by Maireads Rest and is given another drop in grade for the A8 at 11-11.

TIP TOP TARA

TIP TOP TARA led all the way clocking 16.49 (Normal) when beating Droopys Postie by two and a half lengths in a D2 Sprint on the 11th September! The June 14 daughter of Paradise Madison was up in grade for a D1 Sprint on the 18th September and clocked 16.92 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just under six lengths by Wicket Taker. She made it 4 wins from her last 6 races when leading all the way to beat Droopys Cairo by two and a half lengths in a D1 Sprint on the 22nd September! Tip Top Tara clocked 16.46 (Normal) when winning for the 6th time at Hove and lines up for the D1 Sprint at 11-57 along with SPIDERMAN who clocked 16.92 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten three and a half lengths by Sizzlerscheyenne in a D1 Sprint on the 16th September. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay clocked 13.98 calculated when 2nd beaten just over a length by Sizzlers Apollo in a 2-dog Trial over 225 metres at Romford on the 20th September. He was an 8/1 chance in D1 grade last Saturday but was baulked at 1/2 way and clocked 16.74 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just over three lengths by Lemon Arthur.

EL LATINO

EL LATINO

EL LATINO was a 12/1 shot for a D2 Sprint on the 18th September where she was very slow away and given no chance when baulked at the second bend! Clocking 17.46 (Normal) she finished in 5th place beaten almost seven lengths by Brunswick Lucy. The May 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a 7/1 chance for a D2 Sprint on Wednesday but after making another slow start she finished in 5th place clocking 17.11 calculated when beaten four lengths by Forever Man. El Latino now lines up for the D2 Sprint at 12-58.

SIZZLERS APOLLO led all the way clocking 30.52 calculated when beating Nods Mary Sharp by just over a length in A5 grade on the 9th September! He faded to finish 6th clocking 31.10 (Normal) when beaten just over six lengths by Starch Hill Sid in an A5 on the 16th September. The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari clocked 13.88 calculated when beating Spiderman by just over a length in a 2-dog Trial over 225 metres at Romford on the 20th September. Sizzlers Apollo got back to winning ways when leading all the way to beat Woodmancote Bert by a length and a half in an A5 last Sunday! He made it 4 wins from his last 7 races when clocking 30.46 calculated to win his 9th race at Hove and he is put up in grade for the A4 at 1-58.
