FOURTH HOVE WIN FOR ‘RELEASE THE ACE’

Without a win for four months RELEASE THE ACE returned to winning ways with success in the A8 at 8-02. The April 2012 son of Ace Hi Rumble was baulked at the first bend but led on the run in to beat the Wayne Wrighting trained Farleyhill Adam by one length clocking 30.68 sec. Owned by Mr R. L. Mathurin and Mr P. G. Tomlin the 2/1 favourite was winning for the 4th time at Hove. Kennel mate Boskill Breeze was badly baulked at the first bend and then baulked at the 3/4 mark before clocking 31.43 sec back in 6th place!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Glenvale Rosie was crowded and checked at the 3/4 mark when finishing 5th in the A10 at 7-31. He clocked 31.82 sec six and a half lengths behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Lollie.
Swift Messi was unable to show his best in the A5 at 8-50 tonight when crowded at the first and third bends! ‘Lionel’ clocked 30.97 sec in 3rd place when beaten eight and a half lengths by the winner Droopys Johnny who is trained by Wendy Short.
Droopys Bertha ran on well in the A7 at 9-24 but was unable to peg back the Maria Collins trained winner Buffys Angel. Droopys Bertha clocked 30.71 ,0ne and a quarter lengths behind the winner, in 2nd place!
Speak Out Lilly was made the 5/2 joint favourite for the A9 at 9-40 but was crowded at the first bend. She recovered to lead from the 3/4 mark to the fourth bend but was beaten into 3rd place Speak out Lily clocked 30.85 sec one and a half lengths behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Rock.
Fine Royal was a non-runner in the A4 at 9-56.
Satellite Fever ran on well in the A2 at 10-11 but Questhouse Rocky had got first run and held on well. Satellite Fever clocked 30.32 when finishing in 3rd place three and a half lengths behind the winner.
Zara Two suffered crowding at the first bend in the A1 at 10-26 and could only finish 5th. He clocked 30.28 sec when beaten by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Tennesse Morning.
