FERDIA GIVES ‘OSCAR’ WINNING PERFORMANCE!
Congratulations to the Norah McEllistrim kennel team for a superb Saturday afternoon winning treble at Poole. The wins of FERDIA OSCAR , ZARA TWO and DROOPYS HALO played a major part in Team Hove drawing this 2nd Leg of the Bags Track Championship with Poole on 111 points each! Swindon trailed in 3rd with just 56 points. Hove take a strong lead into the third leg at Swindon in two weeks time.
Despite some very promising runs, FERDIA OSCAR was without a win since joining the Norah Mac Racing Club in July, but he confirmed the promise of his Poole trial with a very convincing win beating the two local dogs by almost 4 lengths in a very fast 26.64 over the 450 metres.
ZARA TWO has done his connections proud this year and was winning for the fifteenth time. He clocked 26.70 (calculated) when winning his Heat by over 4 lengths!
DROOPYS HALO was stepping up in trip for the first time and bolted up in the Stayers Heat scoring by 4 lengths in a decent 39.61 (calculated).
MONLEEK DIAMOND was 2nd in the bitches Heat with ATHLACCA OLYMPIC (3rd) and SPORTING TRACEY (5th) in their respective Heats.
TWO CLUB WINNERS THIS PAST WEEK!
The Norah Mac Racing Club enjoyed two winners this week! Along with the success of FERDIA OSCAR at Poole on Saturday. DROOPYS LEONARD notched up his fifthteenth win for the Club when taking an A5 at Hove on Wednesday. These two wins take the Club tally to 79 winners!
FIVE KENNEL WINNERS THIS PAST WEEK!
MIKEYS GUEST was a well deserved winner for Mick & Debbie this week. The August 10 son of Crash was off the track for almost a year but bravely returned to winning ways on the 16th October when bolting up in 30.08 (calculated). MIKEYS GUEST followed up that success when winning an A4 at Hove on Friday.
The kennel picked up a double on Sunday as SWIFT DEBBIE rattled up her ninth Hove win when taking an A5 in a respectable 30.35 (calculated). SWIFT DEBBIE is another inmate who has only just returned from a year off the track!
On only his third run for the kennel pup CAUSE OF JUSTICE took the final race on the card an A6 in 30.43 (calculated). The Jan 12 son of College Causeway looks a decent prospect!
The wins of ZARA TWO and DROOPYS HALO at Poole make up the five kennel winners.
OPEN RUNNER REPORT
KIZI was sent off the 7/4 favourite for the Sittingbourne Sprint Final at Central Park on Sunday evening but he failed to add to his five course and distance wins when beaten into 2nd place 3/4 of a length behind the Seamus Cahill trained Droopys Felton.
Its been a long tiring week for the kennel staff with two trips to Poole (trials & racing), five trips to Hove and one to Sittingbourne! Plus all their kennel work! But the smiles on Gemma and Tim’s faces Sunday morning showed it had all been worth while! Its amazing what a few winners can do!
