RISING ROCKET was an ‘odds-on’ winner in A4 grade at Youghal in August last year but after making his Hove debut in September he had not managed to gain a win in twelve outings to date! Finishing a decent 3rd behind Dinner Bella last time the August 14 son of Farley Blitz was sent off a 3/1 chance for the A7 at 4-09 today. After leading at the 2nd bend he kept on well to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Tuxedo Lilly by two lengths! Owned by Mr J. J. Eagle and Mrs L. P. Eagle ‘Rising Rocket’ clocked 30.82 (-20) 30.62 calculated when winning for the 1st time at Hove! Kennel mate Casablanca finished in 4th place just under three lengths behind the winner.



POWER MARY finished a 3/4 length 2nd behind Ashby Pastures on her Hove debut last Saturday and the August 15 daughter of Blackstone Gene was made a 4/1 chance for the A11 at 6-19. Showing good early pace and leading at the 1st bend she got off the mark on her second attempt when holding off the challenge of kennel mate Timberlee Lass to win by a neck! Owned by Mr A. J. Parfitt ‘Power Mary’ clocked 31.27 (-20) 31.07 calculated when winning her 1st race at Hove!
