Gino (Horse Outside):

Gino had a blood test, following his slightly disappointing run last week. It looks like he is a little off colour. He will go on to some medication and have a couple of weeks off. It’s nothing serious and the anti-biotics should clear things up.

Woody (Fleetwood Mac):

Woody has a sprint trial tomorrow (Wednesday 6th) morning at Wimbledon. He’s not run for a while and has had a decent break since joining the kennel. He has come on a bundle and looks a lot healthier and happier now. All being well he’ll then trial again next Wednesday, 13th, over hurdles. After which he’ll be graded and ready to run. The plan being Open hurdle races.

Don’t be confused if you still come across Fleetwood Rocker as the admin regarding the name change is in hand but not yet completed.

Rumble (Black Ace Mac):

Rumble has another trial Friday (8th) evening before racing at Wimbledon. This will be her final trial before grading. The plan to have a couple of runs over the standard distance before tackling the stayers’ trip in Open races.

Other Open Race News from the Kennel

Just a word about Cals Patron. This hound was bought at Hall Green by a ‘rum bunch’ of norahmac club owners who succumbed to  auction fever, probably caught from Norah. So whilst not a club hound he has a connection through fate.

Cals Patron ran second in the heats of a decent Corals’ sponsored trophy competition on Monday (4th) and runs in the final on Friday. He’s up against a hotpot in Droopy’s Diver (who is just 4l behind one of the Derby favourites – Droopys Gregg) on Friday (8th). The race can be viewed on Coral TV in their shops or through their website. He’ll need to improve somewhat, but that’s possible, and will be a working man’s price for those that want a very small each way flutter.

Rally Town contests the opener on the card, the sprint and Coolavenny Honey runs later in the evening in a supporting stayers’ Open.

Hurdler, Sizzlers Spirit, runs in a decent Open at Hove on Thursday (7th)  night. A real trooper for the kennel, this lad has already notched five wins this year. He has every chance of adding to that tally in the 818pm. Also at Hove, Droopys Cadel seeks to follow up his recent course and distance win in the sprint at 802pm whilst Broadstrand Bill carries the colours in the Standard Open at 957pm
