Saturday Night “Fever” Is A Hit At Hove!
‘SATELLITE FEVER’ MAKES ALL THE RIGHT MOVES FOR THE “HADLEY FAMILY”
Saturday Night HOVE Report
Winner
Slow away in three of his previous four Hove starts, and hence finding trouble in running, SATELLITE FEVER got his trapping right tonight and was able to sit handy and mount his challenge. The Feb 12 son of College Causeway showed early pace in the A6 at 10-13 and running wide led at the 3/4 mark to beat kennel mate Watch Matt just over two lengths clocking 30.23 (-20) 30.03 calculated. The pair was seven lengths clear of the third place dog! Owned by Bob, Sue and Sam Hadley Satellite Fever was winning for the 2nd time at Hove. The 6/4 favourite has an A3 Tralee win on his Irish card and looks a nice prospect. Watch Matt had an Open race outing at Sittingbourne two runs back and ran well for this drop in grade. He was quick away producing a 4.16 split and led to the 3/4 point. He clocked 30.44 (-20) 30.24 calculated in 2nd place.
How Our Other Runners Fared
Sporting Tracey ran a cracker in the A2 at 9-41 when beaten into 3rd place just a Neck and a Short Head behind the winner! She was crowded at the first bend and ran on well suggesting she may well have won with a clear run! ‘Tracey’ clocked 30.39 (-30) 30.09 calculated.
The July 12 pup Avit On Elsie, part owned by assistant trainer Gemma Byford, was sent off at 12/1 for just her second start. She showed early pace and running wide held every chance in the A11 at 7-31 finishing 2nd and clocking 31.96 (-30) 31.66 calculated.
The Racing Club was represented in the A5 at 9-07 by Droopys Leonard who has been in good form lately. He was soon into stride showing early pace to the bend where he was crowded. He recovered to finish 2nd clocking 30.72 (-30) 30.42 calculated. Kennel mate Ballymac Kerry was held up when crowded on the run up, at the first bend and baulked at the fourth! She was only just behind ‘Lenny’ in 4th place clocking 30.76 (-30) 30.46 calculated.
We had three runners in the A8 at 7-46 and didn’t manage to get one in the first three! Judicial Babe went best of our trio finishing 4th after a slow start and crowding she clocked 31.21 (-30) 30.91 calculated. Pretty In Blue was also in the wars being crowded at the first and second bends and again on the run in! She clocked 31.22 (-30) 30.92 calculated in 5th place. Glenvale Paddy was back in 6th place having been very slowly away. He clocked 31.48 (-30) 31.18 calculated.
Glenvale Rosie was also very slow away in the A10 at 8-02. Sent off the 5/2 joint favourite she was crowded at the first bend and unable to recover she finished 6th clocking 31.79 (-30) 31.49 calculated.
Edo Empress was up in grade for her latest win. She was quick away in the A9 at 8-18 but lost her pitch and despite running on late finished 5th clocking 31.29 (-30) 30.99 calculated.
Avit On Bertha was unable to round off the evening for us with a second kennel win when she was 5th in the A3 at 10-30. ‘Bertha’ was crowded at the first bend and baulked on the run in clocking 31.19 (-20) 30.99 calculated.

Sunday 23rd February HOVE Runners (Subject to Alteration)
Sizzlers Big Boy was beaten a neck on his latest run and gets a drop in grade for the A8 at 11-42.
Philly Eagle was clocking fast times in sprints last November. A return to that form would see him go close in the D1 at 11-57.
Princess Jetta and Droopys Bertha are both in decent form and must have every chance of qualifying for the Owners Bonus Series Final when they line up in the A6 Heats at 12-27.
Summerfield Bell goes up two grades for her easy win last time out. She now lines up in A7 at 1-28.
The consistent Athlacca Olympic tries his luck in another A2 at 1-44.
