A 50% STRIKE RATE AT HOVE!

SPEEDY RIVER was a winning favourite on his return after lockdown! Sent off 7/4 fav for an A6 last Sunday the Sept 18 son of Belles Direction led at the 2nd bend and kept on well to beat Yasoo Cahir by just over two lengths! Up in grade for the A5 at 2-12 the 11/8 favourite followed up in great style! Slowly away he showed good pace to the turn and despite suffering crowding he led at the 1st bend! Running on strongly he powered away to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Gemini Pixie by almost six lengths! Owned by Jimmy Pursey ‘Speedy River’ clocked 29.51 (Normal) when winning his 3rd race at Hove!

3rd HOVE WIN FOR GRANNYS DREAM!

GRANNYS DREAM was beaten just over a length by Castleview North in a D4 Sprint before lockdown and was soundly beaten by that rival on his return to action on the 4th June. Sent off a 9/2 chance for the D4 Sprint at 11-42 the October 16 son of Newinn Yolo showed good early pace and soon led! Keeping on well he beat the Wendy Short trained Catherines Jet by a length! Owned by Michael Bailey, Liz Zahedieh, Norah McEllistrim, and the late Mary Pledge ‘Grannys Dream’ clocked 16.67 (Normal) when winning for the 3rd time at Hove!
