Sunday 16th July 2017  –  HOVE Report

REDSTAR POPPY was sent off the 3/1 favourite for the A5 at 11-28 but the February 14 daughter of Kinloch Brae was unable to find a clear run! Baulked at the 1st and 3rd bends she clocked 31.54 (-40) 31.14 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just over nine lengths by Pennys Tael who is trained by Tony Taylor.

SIZZLERSBARACUDA was a 5/1 chance for the A8 at 11-42 but the January 15 son of Farloe Barracuda was held up when baulked at the 4th bend! Beaten just over a length by the Jason Heath trained Droopys Quip he clocked 31.72 (-40) 31.32 calculated finishing in 4th place.

SIZZLERS APOLLO was an 8/1 chance for the D1 Sprint at 12-27 but the September 13 son of Droopys Scolari was baulked at the 1st bend and finishing in 5th place he clocked 16.96 (-20) 16.76 calculated when beaten three lengths by the Wendy Short trained winner Wicket Taker. Kennel mate OBEY THE RULES was also an 8/1 chance and the November 13 son of Westmead Hawk was baulked at 1/2 way! Finishing in 6th place he clocked 16.98 (-20) 16.78 calculated when beaten just over three lengths by the winner.

BALLYSTEEN STAR was withdrawn (bitten) from the A9 at 12-58 and the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a non-runner.
