Sunday Hove Report / Monday Trials!
Sunday 25th October 2015 – HOVE Report Going: Normal (All Races)
GRANSON LUCA went into Heat 2 of the Owners Bonus Series (A10) at 11-57 in excellent form having won two of his last four races! The February 2012 son of Blackstone Gene has been running well and he beat Get On Joe by two lengths last Friday! A first two finish would have seen him qualify for the Final on Saturday 31st October but after suffering crowding at the first bend he could only manage 3rd place! Granson Luca clocked 31.00 sec when beaten four lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Jump The Gun.
BABY GOLD found trouble in running when finishing 3rd to Allianz Park on the 3rd October but the February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a good 2nd to Varra Diamond when beaten 1/2 a length on the 10th October and she ran a cracking race in A6 grade, clocking a decent 30.39 sec, when finishing 2nd to Ballymac Pod last Friday! In good form Baby Gold was sent off the 6/4 joint-favourite for the A6 at 12-58 but she was soon in trouble and suffered crowding at the first bend and again at the 3/4 mark. She was baulked on the final turn and clocked 31.01 sec when finishing in 4th place beaten just over six lengths by the Derek Knight trained winner Maireads Twirl.
DROOPYS RIVES last won on the 28th August but the July 13 son of Westmead Hawk hasn’t been beaten far in three recent D1 races and finished less than two lengths behind
Solid Fairy on the 7th October and was only beaten two lengths by Droumeragh Maria on the 14th October. ‘River’ put in a very good effort in the D1 Sprint at 1-28 and after breaking well he remained prominent and finished a close 2nd to the Seamus Cahill trained winner Sister Tootsie. Droopys Rives clocked 16.65 sec when beaten just over a length by the winner. CALM PRECISION was sent off a 10/1 chance for a D1 Sprint on his Hove debut last Saturday and the June 13 son of Droopys Scolari out of the dam Trionas Soprano stayed on well to finish a good 2nd to Brother Harry. Calm Precision suffered crowding at the first bend today but he ran on well to finish in 3rd place and clocked 16.71 sec when beaten two lengths by the winner.
VISCOUNT RAMBLER has been running well and was a good 2nd to Factualstatement on his return from injury in A2 grade on the 4th October. The June 11 son of Goldmine Ramble was beaten less than two lengths when finishing 4th to Dunquin Lodge on the 11th October and he clocked 30.55 sec when beaten just under four lengths by Starchill Oak in A2 grade last Friday. Given a drop in grade for the A3 at 1-58 he was sent off the 2/1 favourite and he held every chance when finishing 2nd to the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Westmead Mustang. Viscount Rambler clocked 30.46 sec when beaten just 3/4 of a length by the winner!
